I think it was bad of him to mention antimisandry.com in his email. It was a very public denunciation of people who are basically on his side.

    Having said that...

I agree with Marc that men are at least partially responsible for women behaving like spoilt princesses. Simply put, women act like cunts because they can; men let them get away with it, even encourage it. It's all about personal responsibility. We won't be able to change this situation - or any situation - unless men take responsibility. Sure, it's mostly women to blame but they don't shoulder all the blame.

But yes, it was below the belt for him to mention this site.

Marcs position is not that men are partially responsible, it is that men are COMPLETELY responsible. That is where I have a problem.

Men ARE partially responsible and so are women partially responsible.

He probably thinks that coming would be lowering himself.

LOL. Indeed. He would have to lower himself to be one of "the boys."

This is one of the very very very few forums where you'll hear the truth about women. No one here bashes good women, only modern, western skanks.

Re: Marc Rudov mentions AntiMisandry.com in his newsletter

A few weeks back I sent a very polite email to Mr Rudov pointing out some new research into sex differences that he might want to draw on.

I got a reply back saying he didn't want to hear about any differences because it's all socialization apparently. Way to buy the unscientific feminist viewpoint Marc.

Still, thought I, he's entitled to his opinion. Until a few weeks later I get one of his newsletters saying how ridiculous people are who send him information about sex differences and how he's right and the dedicated scientists researching this stuff are wrong.

    Hmmm.

You don't get a fair system by pretending men and women are the same. Until natural differences are acknowledged, as they always used to be until feminism, society will continue bashing round pegs into square holes.

I almost can't believe he holds that opinion on sex differences between men and women. I need to read it for myself. Can you copy/paste the contents of the newsletter, unless you've already deleted it?

Yeah, that surprises me too, usually this opinion come from the left-wing

Maybe he is referring to certain kinds of attitude/behaviour?

It does sound like Rudov is pushing a very stupid feminist propaganda position.

There is a really good scholarly book on this subject called "The Blank Slate." It pretty much debunks the feminist theory that children are "blank slates" upon which nurture writes the patterns.

The Blank Slate: The Modern Denial of Human Nature by[ame="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url?%5Fencoding=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=books&field-author=Steven%20Pinker"]Steven Pinker[/ame]
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Blank-Slate-Modern-Denial-Nature/dp/0142003344/"]Amazon.com: The Blank Slate: The Modern Denial of Human Nature: Steven Pinker: Books[/ame]

Dr. Pinker thoroughly debunks the "its all culture" notions from a very well documented and scholarly impeccable perspective. For anyone who is seriously interested in this subject, Dr. Pinker is must reading.

Well, you gotta think about this. Rudov has always said "women are equal" and that is why they should be paying for their own meals.

Why does it shock anyone that he buys into the feminist lie of nurture over nature?

I could be entirely wrong, but what it sounds like he is saying is that people need to take responsibility for their own actions. It's easy to blame others, blame society, blame the liberals, blame the feminists, blame God, blame the devil, but in so doing, are we forgetting to take a good long look at our own involvement, our own behavior, our own judgments, our own choices that have led us to where we are today?

Correct! I actually agree with him on this point. Having said that, feminists and women generally have a lot to answer for!

I deleted it. Does he have an archive on his site? It was only last week that I read that one I think.

I can assure you it's his opinion in any case. He said it very plainly in an email to me. "It is all socialization".

Keep an eye on his newsletters. He'll probably say it again before long.

Don't you think there needs to be a balance of blame though? Sure, we have to take responsibility for our choices, actions, and lives. However, I adamantly believe that others affect our lives for better or worse whether we believe it or not. Children of alcoholic parents will grow up affected by that even if they grow up to be successful and healthy. If someone is struck by a drunk driver and crippled, is he supposed to take responsibility for that? If someone is falsely accused of something and imprisoned, is that his fault? I have found in my life that (and this is not directed at anyone on this site as I don't know you personally) people often preach that one should take full responsibility for one's circumstances because they themselves refuse to acknowledge that they have abused others and make things right with them. They would rather teach that if people are suffering, it is their own fault. Believing this relieves them in their minds of the responsibility of their misdeeds.

Applying this view directly to feminism and misandry, I would say simply that if we men have grown up in a misandristic society and have been shortchanged in an anti-male education system or restricted socially or professionally in any of the ways that we constantly gripe about, then why are we to blame for the problems that we face? Sure we can face the problems with courage and dignity and make the most of it, but to say that it is our fault that the problem exists, doesn't make sense. That's like saying that if a certain evil politician is in power, that all the people are to blame. Well, sorry, but one doesn't need the votes of 100% of the people or even 100% of the votes to win an election. Our lives can be made sheer hell by a small majority.
