Keep an Eye on This One...
There's going to be 4 parts to this show this week- starting from tonight at 9:00pm on BBC2 - so this is particularly relevant to UK members

Personally speaking- I'm going to keep a close eye on this oneDisgraced peer Jeffrey Archer, actress Honor Blackman and Blur bassist Alex James are to take part in BBC Two's new courtroom show The Verdict.
They will form part of a celebrity jury in a fictitious court case featuring a footballer charged with rape. BBC Two controller Roly Keating said the series would show the inner workings of the jury system. But one victim's charity has warned the programme may upset victims of rape when it is broadcast early next year.
The Verdict will also feature Sara Payne, the mother of murdered schoolgirl Sarah, footballer Stan Collymore and actress Patsy Palmer. The case features the fictitious rape trial of an internationally famous footballer, Damien Scott, and his friend, James Greer. The 12 jurors will sit in judgement on a four-day unscripted trial in a real courtroom, presided over by a real judge - the recently retired Lord Neil Denison - with real barristers prosecuting and defending.
The jury will then retire to begin their deliberations, with TV cameras to observe the jury as it reaches it verdict. Mr Keating said: "This is a hugely ambitious project which brings the law to life in a completely new way.
"It will be fascinating to follow the twists and turns of the case, see the dynamics and power struggles within the jury, learn about the jury system with its inherent flaws and strengths."
But Andrew Buckingham of national charity Victim Support, said there was a fine line between entertainment and education.
"There is nothing wrong with trying to demystify the criminal justice process but it is important to control how you do that," he said.
"The BBC has assembled together a very eclectic mix of celebrities and public figures.
"Our concern would be that the novelty factor, and their interaction as they deliberate, may overshadow and detract from the real issue that this is a rape trial.
"There is no doubt that it will be entertaining but I'm not sure how educational it will be.
"It may also upset some people, particularly rape victims, witnesses and those who have served on a jury for a rape case, that this is being used for entertainment."
The show is one of the highlights of BBC Two's winter and spring 2007 schedule which was unveiled on Tuesday.
Other new shows include Jennifer Saunders's The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle, set in the world of confessional TV shows, political drama Party Animals and Louis Theroux visits Las Vegas in Louis & The Casino.
Graham Norton presents a new talk show for BBC Two, The Graham Norton Show, while Top Gear also returns with Richard Hammond.
And in The Truth About Food, presenters - including Colin Jackson, Fiona Bruce and Vic Reeves - will take viewers on a journey of discovery to find out what food can do for them.
Meanwhile, Torchwood has been recommissioned for a second series, but it will move from BBC Three to BBC Two. Filming is due to start in Cardiff in Spring 2007 and the series will hit screens later next year.

Re: Keep an Eye on This One...
I have just seen the 1st part- anyone else seen it?
In any case- those jury members were chiefly manginas, femhags- or at least sympathisers to these traits, and were oh-so-typical of the sheep in our society
The only 2 that I thought were ok was this 'MegaMan' from So-Solid crew and, the best member of all: Stan Collymore
At least he had the guts to go with his heart- and not the politically correct peddling that those other conformists opted for
In any case- I won't go too long on this- and I don't know if anyone else has even seen it- but I will say that if it weren't for the likes of Stan Collymore on that show- I would have been even more pissed off than I usually am when confronted with weak-willed pussies

Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Re: Keep an Eye on This One...
So any issue that includes the word 'rape' is sacrosanct and immune from any kind of discussion, analysis or investigation. Psshhaw!!"Our concern would be that the novelty factor, and their interaction as they deliberate, may overshadow and detract from the real issue that this is a rape trial.Excuse me, THE Vic Reeves? Did they suck out all his zany anarchy via liposuction and return a flabby envelope to the Femibeeb so he could comment on a magazine programme about food? Perhaps they sent him to Room 101?And in The Truth About Food, presenters - including Colin Jackson, Fiona Bruce and Vic Reeves - will take viewers on a journey of discovery to find out what food can do for them.
And then .... - a 'Top Gear' without Jeremy Clarkson? Which femocrat did he offend? His 1990's interview with Germaine Greer must go down as a classic. Perhaps he lost several Brownie points on that one.
Fred my friend, I respect your strong stomach!

Keep your friends close but your enemies closer is what I say Yan Yan

I actually hate the bias from the BBC- but I like to keep up to date with the kind of bile they are promoting
I also think that the more such bigots are exposed- the better for us all
Plus passive readers or the 'uninformed' majority will come to see just how biased our media really is
Esp. since we fund such hatred through our taxes

Re: Keep an Eye on This One...
Fredx its no bad thing you cast a cold eye over this BBC pc bias they are so blatant in their feminist bias as to produce A deep and a abiding feeling of revulsion,in many men the same as ALL the other channels. I find this pc dominance apparent in any western TV you care to mention.
You are recording for all to see in more just times the grave and deliberate moral failures of the media in this time of mass injustice and the suicide holocaust of young men.
The TV is for most men a waste of space, being these days entirely female (consumer) driven as Dirk Benedict pointed out.feminism is a disease the Doc is working on a cure. Symptoms include compulsive liar, constant aggression, allergic to logic, often affects women who are fat with short hair and big earings, but can be normal looking.
Reason tablets three taken daily. If the sufferer displays shaming tactics double the dose. Remarkably the illness disappears in disaster zones.

Re: Keep an Eye on This One...
You're not wrong Fred!
From this distance it's interesting to note the way things change over time. It's a bit like global warming or rising sea levels. Day by day or even year to year, things seem as they always were but come back after a few years and it's a shock.
There's a local expression - "you are cooking in your own oil". These days few are exempt, even those who don't pay the licence fee. In the Phils (and most of SE Asia) BBC World is part of the basic cable package. So for every consumer, a few pence a month goes back to the Femibeeb to fund their nefarious activities.Esp. since we fund such hatred through our taxes
Yes, Brad - it may be a case of "follow the money".The TV is for most men a waste of space, being these days entirely female (consumer) driven as Dirk Benedict pointed out.
(Do you have a link to that quote by Dirk Benedict?)
In this land the long, black beautiful hair on the women is commonplace. That may explain why every second ad on tv is for shampoo. "Make your hair straighter, longer, wavier, shinier... make it light up with Christmas lights - what the f***? On the Chinese channels every other ad is for creams, excercises, herbal remedies, bras, appliances and medical procedures that will actually give a Chinese woman the appearance of having breasts.
As a sop to male viewers there are regular updates on sport and the stockmarkets.
On another thread Disaffected said of American politics:
Maybe the 'Evil Empire' extends a lot further. No wonder Putin is getting his knickers in a twist. The usual bread and circuses in the Land of the Free.

YanYan
No link Yan Yan Dirk Benedict said this when on the awful "big brother" which I am ashamed to say I watched...He made a few jibes at the media and said that big Brother was female driven too, feminism is a disease the Doc is working on a cure. Symptoms include compulsive liar, constant aggression, allergic to logic, often affects women who are fat with short hair and big earings, but can be normal looking.
