1 in 4 women raped is easy to refute because that means one in every four women I know has been raped. This has not been the case anywhere I've gone. So even if there are areas where enough women are raped to offset my experience, the study is still impractical.

I'm tired of hearing about "rape myths" hurting women. Today, to disagree with someone's opinion is considered by them to be a perpetuation of a myth, so telling me I'm harming women by not believing in a statistic doesn't faze me much, and shouldn't bother Karl or anyone else.

(as far as I know) The study which produced 1 in 4 statistic was Koss', which I wrote above. Since Kelly used this stat, I guess she meant this study.

I'm just pointing out that once you have solid evidence refuting "1 in 4 raped," feminists change it to "1 in 4 assaulted." Next it'll be "1 in 4 looked at inappropriately."

I believe the term used is "advocate research", rather like a desperately hopeless "knicker sniffer" with a particular fascination for thongs going around asking for women's worn panties so he can conduct research into the varying strengths of secretion according to the style worn. Then, using his own data collection techniques - not scientifically proven techniques - concluding that thongs are by far the most superior undies known to woman-kind, then releasing reams of documents advocating the preferred use of thongs so he has all the more to steal from washing lines & sniff for his own reasons. The simple way to explain this is: ulterior motive.
