The breach which enabled Cultural Marxism to get a hold in USA was the student riots against the Vietnam War where the Police were humiliated by the protesting student.

Herbert Marcuse was the architect that promoted the inauguration of this mind numbing horror in the US universities and now the converts haunt the judiciary , the legislature , the police and all levels of "education"

Marcuse basically introduced the "Critical Theory" all this means is the the Marxist push systematically attack and criticize all the institutions which have made the West prosper especially the objective thinking of white males;
the minority ethnic groups , homosexuals of male and female persuasion, the disabled and the very poor are represented as the virtuous and worthy the most worthy are the angelic feminist women ( non feminist women don't exist under cultural Marxism)

the white males serve as the hate objects of the Cultural Marxists and are attacked by the feminists at every opportuinity as were the bourgeoisie under the Marxist Leninist model where Stalin destroyed Millions of this social group in the USSR
