I'm planning to launch a men's rights group

I'm planning to launch a men's rights group where I live. I'm going to start by setting up a myspace profile for the group, and then sending out friend requests to men who live in my town.

Eventually, I hope the members of the group can regularly meet up, and get involved in offline activism.

Excellent frostyboy, offline activism is always encouraged here (where feasible and practical). Whilst individually we all live different and somewhat unique lifestyles scattered throughout various time zones in the world. If a member here has the time, energy, resources and determination (motivation is a 'given' as any MRA) too bring to fruition such a proposal, then all power to him.

However, I would add if when your compiling your pitch to attract members, try wherever possible to promote the concept of both men and women being adversely subject to, and affected by the lies and lunacy of feminism. Don't set out just blaming women solely. It won't work. You'll only attract extremists who'll be unproductive.

I'm not suggesting totally supplanting womens culpability for beneficially colluding (knowingly or otherwise) with feminist doctrine. But, if you have to intially use feminism, manginas, political correctoids, socialist appeasers and the deceitful conivance of government as 'temporary' scapegoats, do so. Then later, slowly introduce the concept of women, and even manginas beneficially collaborating with this spiteful inequality imposed on men, and how it's effects have detrimentally effected men and brought on a unsustainable imbalance in the natural order of things.

Some will be receptive, others may require more convincing. Truth delivered in it's full potency is often undigestible to the unawakened masses. So, just as with babies food you have to chop it up and make it more palatable by serving up smaller chunks incrementally.

Also try to ascertain (willingly) what jobs your members hold, and any influential social positions they hold, which might further the groups aims. As with the business world it's about connections and constructive networking.

That said, whatever environment you seek to facilitate such meetings, be it a pub, bowling alley, workshop or someones home. Remember to 'always' maintain a sense of humour and instill unwavering optimism, don't preach to men just with stats, engage them personally regarding their own personal circumstances, and genuinely listen to them. And, just as we have to regularly repel the onslaught of the clandestine machinations of trolls and feminists here on this forum (although of late they've been rather obvious), so too must you adopt a similar approach to maybe those who will seek to infiltrate your group to sabotage it's very survival, or/and provide a convenient platform to tarnish the movement as a whole.

    Good luck to you.

    I agree, Celtic Druid.

Frostyboy has a great sense of humour (he manages to incorporate this so well into his hatchet jobs on sexist attitudes in his Myspace blog).

However, it is easy to become too serious or too bitter about the whole thing. Case in point, me.

You make many good points, Celtic Druid. As I will be involved, to some extent, with Frostyboy's idea, I will take good note of them. Thanks.

By the way, about the other week, Celtic Druid, I have promised Rebadow to stop apologising, but would you accept a virtual handshake. I was out of order.

No problem brother. However, on the opposite side, don't always assume you are in the wrong because you have questioned the assumptions of others.

General rule: if you wish to make a point, avoid personal attacks and refrain from profanity (it makes your point sound more valid).

Otherwise, do not refrain from making your personal position known. Just keep it civil, and you'll find a plentiful abundance of others who will convivially engage in discourse with you.

Furthermore, minor discrepancies such as you have highlighted have been more than indulged upon by me and many others here. The progressive point is to learn from such experiences and move on.

I won't hold you subject to something I too have been "more" than guilty of.

No problem. To accept a mistake and apologise is commendable.

Now, just be a good member, contribute to the cause (if and when you can), and treat other members how you'd like to be treated.

I agree, the last thing I want is to form an army of MikeeUSA's.

The possibility of feminists attempting to infiltrate and maybe even destroy the group, is a concern. Hence, when I eventually start holding regular offline meetings, I'm going to have to try to make sure that only the members of the group learn of the time and location of the meetings. I'm also going to having to attempt to suss out whoever joins the group, to be sure that they're genuine.

frostyboy, it sounds as if you have a firm logical understanding as to how such a group will be organized.

Please let us know how it progresses (I mean that!). If I and others can input positively at any point, please feel free to interject, and, I and others will happily contribute positively. If not public, then feel free to PM me! I'll be happy to contribute in any way. Good luck to you again.

I'm all ears buddy. Let me know what I need to do, and it's as good as done. Let's start making things happen on this forum!

Also, frostyboy is a great inspiration to others dwelling on their own insular predicament. What a great example of activism this young man has shown!
