Thread: Idiotic PC quiz I found online..

I got the minimum score of 1, since in the last question all answers are correct (how lame).

Welcome to Eastern Germany where everybody has to pretend to be a do-gooder.

I got 1 right. The rest of the questions were about giving minorities special treatment, which I refuse to do.

I have my own ultra-PC version.

1. You are staffing the box office when a blind woman asks for tickets for the next fully accessible screening for her and her sighted friend.

A: There is no such thing as a blind person. There are only visually impaired victims of the sighted tyranny. If you are not aware of this you must be a fascist: report for diversity training at once.

2. With less then a month to go before principal photography, your sound recordist has had to pull out.

A: Why did you not anticipate the pressures that were afflicting the poor victimised sound recordist, putting them in such an impossible position that they had no choice but to pull out of a job that they were entitled to? You are clearly lacking awareness of the needs of others and exhibit a callous disregard of anyone who isn't as privileged as you are. Report for diversity training at once.

3. Your valued assistant has recently returned from maternity leave. She asks whether she can work part-time, sharing the job with her former temporary replacement.

A: She has to ask? Just what kind of chauvinist pig are you? Why didn't you have her return to work all planned out the moment you heard she was pregnant? Didn't you know that women returning from maternity leave have an absolute right to have the entire company re-organised around their needs? You had months to get this done, but you chose to sit on your lazy backside and do nothing. Words fail me. Do you have a heart or a brain at all? Report for diversity training at once.

4. You put out a casting call and receive a response from a disabled actor. There's no reason in the script why the character can't have a disability.

A: What has the script got to do with anything? You have to hire the disabled actor immediately. How could you even think that you had to refer to the script? Are you that low-down that you would actually scour it to see if you could find some lame excuse there to justify not hiring that poor victimised individual? Shame on you. Report for diversity training at once.

5. You're keen on the whole 'diversity thing' and you know that people from minority ethnic groups are under-represented in your organisation. A post has become vacant.

A: What do you mean, "the whole diversity thing"? Do you think this is some kind of game, a fad to be indulged it or dropped at will? And if you know that people from minority ethnic groups are under-represented in your organisation, why have you not reported it to the authorities already? You are exactly the kind of half-hearted, mealy-mouthed, lets-pretend-to-be-aware-while-still-carrying-on-with-our-prejudices type of pseudo-liberal that we are trying to root out; you and your "I'm quite keen on this diversity thingy" bullshit. Report for diversity training at once.

6. You want to set up a community cinema that appeals to an elderly customer base.

A: Here we bloody go again. You "want to appeal to an elderly customer base". Cut the crap; either you want old people in your cinema, or you are an ageist nazi. Which is it? If you really want them, then get the hell off your butt, get out into your precious community and get them into your cinema. Don't beat around the bush with your "wanting to appeal" nonsense. It's time to take off the kid gloves and get real. Report for diversity training at once.

B. Ask trade associations and accredited training organisations to put forward some potential candidates.

I answered B because that merely seems to be the most efficient way to find a replacement. A isn't efficient because the guy is only one person and probably has a limited number of contacts. C isn't efficient because there are all kinds of jokers that answer newspaper ads.

I only answered C because given the nature of the people who created this I knew it would probably be the right answer. However, in general, it makes sense for a business to make REASONABLE accomodations to it's employees so that they work more efficiently.

For example, the Honda plant in Marysville Ohio does a lot with trying to find the most efficient physical positions for the body for it's employees to do the physically demanding work of building a car.

5. You're keen on the whole 'diversity thing' and you know that people from minority ethnic groups are under-represented in your organisation. A post has become vacant. Do you:

I answered B not because that would support more "diversity" but because as in 2, this seems to be the most efficient way to find a replacement as compared to the other answers.

But I don't consider myself PC.

Hmph. I got a 3. Now I know how a friend of mine felt when he (along with a whole bunch of us super rightwingers) took the fascist personality quiz, and got a 3.4! (the score everyone was aiming for was 5.5, which meant you were a really hardline fascist, lol!)

Thing is, I believe we're the opposite of fascists. We're the ones calling for less totalitarian laws and smaller government lol
