I want assistance in finding the best term for the purpose.
Assistance with terms.
‘feminazi’
‘mangina’
Boy I really like these words. They so hit the mark when I think of the despicable people that they are. In private if I were in a room and they were coming out with their crap I would be quite ready to say something like “you wanker, your just a gutless mangina” (I don’t know if you have ‘wanker’ in the US, it’s a bit like ‘jerk’). Or call out ‘you twisted feminazi bitch’.
The thing is, I’m hoping to make a protest soon and I want my statements to gain understanding and avoid putting people off. I have some terms in mind which I could use as alternatives, but I’m asking for assistance from people who can give their opinion on these terms, for this purpose, or even offer alternative terms themselves.
First I’d Just like to describe some of the problems I perceive in using our existing terms in the text of my protest.
Feminazi. ‘Nazi’ can lose its power from repeated use in large quantities of text; it’s too emotive and tugs at the conscience of the reader negating its effect. Its casual use may offend those who consider the holocaust being mocked. To those who are not aware of the negativity and hatred in much of feminist thinking, reading ‘feminazi’ will just make my text appear unbalanced and twisted. I want to write text with a style that will make unconvinced readers conclude feminazis are unbalanced and twisted. There are women who don’t hold a prejudice against men, consciously, and could understand my protest, but may instead conclude I’m prejudiced for writing feminazi. Remember the transient poster called ‘af’? She called herself a feminist and came here for info’. After a period of posting on her string many of us concluded that she wasn’t a feminist because she was actually equalitist. Yet she chooses to identify herself as a feminist. I want people like that to understand my protest, and I don’t think that will happen if I use words like feminazi.
When I think of feminazi, I think of the hard core. They despise men and apportion all that is bad in culture and history as solely the doings of men. They write propaganda to condemn men and refute any evidence to the contrary. They are beyond reason and have committed their lives to increasing advantage over men. They are determined and effective in influencing institutions and culture to their way of thinking. They spend a lot effort producing publications on the web and in print rationalising their bigotry.
Feminazi may also include a lower order of foot soldiers that are not as extreme as the above and are more casual in their prejudice. They often hold jobs in public service where they routinely apply their prejudice in the biased reports and decisions they make over the lives of others. They are adept at ‘council culture spin’ and expert at justifying their discriminatory policies. Both types of feminazi react indignantly to any questioning or protest of their biased views and regard it as misogynist.
What I don’t think of as feminazi are the ‘the convenient feminist’ who don’t really bother thinking on socio-political issues but abuse misandry never the less. They think on a more superficial yet pragmatic level instead of using their minds to think deeply. They let culture do their thinking and where it’s to their advantage, they readily abuse the inequalities in their favour. I don’t see them as the hard line feminazi who orchestrate the feminising of culture and our institutions which persecutes men because they hold a demonised view of them. I ultimately see the convenient feminist as selfish, or even sociopathic, and ready exploit misandry for personal gains. I have the same contempt for this last group, but I don’t consider them feminazi. In my opinion, they tend to be the majority of women in the Anglosphere.
I accept that there will be many here that will have different views, I’m simply describing my use of ‘feminazi’ so those who want to assist me find an effective term for public protest and know what I’m talking about. What I’m not doing is offering debate about whose definitions are valid or correct.
So I’ve shown what problems I want to avoid and what I personally mean by feminazi.
One replacement term I’ve thought of is ‘bigoted feminist’. It’s littoral and without the drawbacks of feminazi. Generally I find single word terms to have more impact, but would b’feminist work?
I want a term that will work on the general public and not merely satisfy our outrage.
I hope enough of you assist on this for me to make a better decision.
PS I’ll write about my dilemmas on other terms like mangina and ‘convenient feminist’ on other posts.

Re: I want assistance in finding the best term for the purpose.
The terms feminazi and mangina are not politically correct so if you want to be more politically correct you could refer to the types of feminists you consider to be feminazis as "aggressive feminists"..
You could refer to manginas as "feminist lapdogs", "feminised men" etc..

Personally, I dislike both of those words. If others want to use them, fine. I'll choose alternatives.

Re: I want assistance in finding the best term for the purpose.
If you use the denotatively-specific word "misandrists", you force them to get out their Spell Checkers. My experience with using this word is the fact that it really torques the true man-haters. My recent thread about the Man-Hating Vagina Warrior Gender Stalinistas was posted to show that feminists are spoofing derogatory terms about themselves. They even added "humourless" and "lesbionic" to the mix. Feminazi ... poof! Big Deal!
The use of Gender Stalinistas is relatively new and unknown, and it ties feminism to its communist roots securely. Amazons or Amazonians is also relatively unknown. Wonder Woman is the original symbol the feministas selected in my country, and she is an amazon princess. HTH!Last edited by bababob; 2nd-April-2009 at 04:47 AM. Reason: Big typooooh

I agree with you wholeheartedly. BTW, misandrist has been in the dictionary since its inception. It's been buried by lack of use. Dictionaries vary as to what they keep and what they chuck. For example, you'll find vinegaroon in one, but not in another. There's a good alternative name for misandrist!
(Sorry ... you've just got to look it up!)
