Well, I'd probably use words that are specific to the individual and the situation at hand. I don't like using a generalization to describe one person, if I can help it.
Sure, when dealing with an individual it’s better to use terms that apply specifically, but I am looking for general terms to apply to bodies of people holding certain views. I want a general term for a collective attitude like say ‘racists’. I do agree that misandrist is probably the right word, but I just feel it will have little public impact. Few people know of it, less than ~15% of people I asked know it. When you introduce it to people it’s taken like a bit of a joke and doesn’t have the clout of misogynist. Also as you say, it isn’t even on my MS word spell check too. We may be used to it here. I want something that doesn’t have to be an established word, but it needs impact and instant comprehension without putting equalitist off. Any advice along those lines?

Would you believe it, I am dyslexic. Very! I will get 20 to 40 mistakes on a page. Sometimes I pick the wrong one from the spell check, so when you get any that come through on my posts, now you know why.
I do like Stalinistas, but I don’t think I should use it except as in a fleeting reference to some their autocratic and intolerant official polices.

To tell you the truth deep down I just like the word ‘feminist’, we all know it, it even has a sinister ring like racist or fascist. But I want to reserve it for misandric feminists and its awkward when so many women call themselves feminists but aren’t into misandry. The probable is though, there are an even greater number who believe they aren’t against men or genuine equality but their actions and expressed views betray that they are, IMO.

Another positive thing about ‘feminist’ is that some women also consider it a term for extremist women who are neurotic about denouncing men or attacking femininity as they see it. They often speak to distance themselves from feminists as a matter of self respect.

What do people here think of using ‘feminist’ if I were to qualify what I mean by it and give a watertight definition excluding all those I don’t wish to identify as misandrist feminist?

You see even that’s a problem; do all misandrists actually hate men as the dictionary says, or aren’t the majority just prepared to take advantage because they can?

Thanks all for your input, but I still feel I need more views. And I haven’t even begun on manginas yet, now there’s a group!

PS can anyone tell me how to make multiple quotes from different posts?

Clinically-speaking, misandrists hate men ... pathologically. But the point you made that I highlighted and underlined is closer to the reality of the problem with which men are currently faced. Women in our respective countries appear to be "getting over" on us and "getting away" with crapola, with no overt resistance.
