You've been misinformed.

Perhaps in china or developing nations, some women may be paid less than men. Who knows? I haven't worked overseas too much.

But I have worked for a lot of companies, from small companies to massive worldwide corporations, especially in finance departments and there is not one incidence, despite the repeated claims, that I have witnessed personally, or seen any documented proof, that a woman or man is paid less because of their gender. In the US and the UK, people are paid less of certain ages, which is discrimination and exploitation. Young people starting out for the first time, have a lot of expenses, so it cannot be assumed they should be able to survive on less than someone a few years older than them. In fact, they could do with more money. Saving up for your first bond/deposit is never easy while repaying your educational debts.

The first flat I rented with a partner, resulted in both of us working long hours and she had college as well, while only being able to afford to eat, by waiting ages and getting the 1p reductions late at night, at supermarkets as we couldn't even afford pasta or baked beans at one point. Sometimes, all we had were bakery items like danish swirls and croissants all week, never a hot meal. Sounds like bliss, but it really is terrible, week after week, month after month. Even now, nearly a decade later, I can only eat the occasional bakery item. Any more than a couple makes me feel very ill, which it never used to. It isn't a treat to me, like it used to be.

Show me any single mother who had to go through malnutrition and poor housing. No council could get away with that.

Are you saying only single mothers have a hard time financially? What about the pensioner whom can't afford to retire because they were screwed on his pension/endowment? What about the student eating pasta and baked beans, struggling to keep up with rent while repaying their education which was supposed to get them a graduate job but instead they now work 18 hours a day at a fast food joint? What about a man that dared to date a woman who already had kids and now has to pay child support to her? All of these things happen.

Yet single mothers get preferential treatment all the way; priority on council housing, more benefits, CSA bleeding the father and every man she has dated since dry on CS, excemption from bills such as council tax, etc. You will notice I'm not shedding a tear of sympathy for her, as the system is geared towards making her the wealthiest individual out of any list.

Seriously men, I am not ill informed. I will be writing about this after I once again interview the Human Right's Commissioner for EECO. It stands for equal employment something something. The reason I know it's happening is because men in charge of business are telling single parent mothers they will up them to men's pay now that are the breadwinners. With all due respect, they are not meaning to discriminate - it's just the lifestyle they have, IMO. Anyways, ....

It was funny to phone the Human Rights Commission and have the lady who answered the phone say, "Hi Julie, long time no see". or similar. Turns out I helped this woman in her time of need and she wants to refer people to my group. Then after sorting out an interview appointment, I phoned a group who has a program called future leaders for girls aged 14-18 (I found them by looking over the Human Right's Commission website for research) and a single mother is in charge and we had a good conversation over the lower wages. She has discussions with other organisations who are trying to change this and I was able to explain where the business men are coming from to which she asked, "Can you speak to my ex husband".

Anyways, the best news is that I interviewed the hardcore radical feminist who I am about to interview again, and over me challenging her during the last interview, the 'NZ census women's participation paper 2010' has a goal of 50% women printed a few times which is better than what these radical feminists had in mind. (100% but they know they won't get it, so as much as possible (their words) with actual at around 85% as they do in all middle management).

I made that happen. Yep, I am perhaps the only female who has challenged and I owe it all to this site. I am happy with fair. for I don't like abuse of any kind.

Yeah, I know I have made mistakes over and over. But you know what, I am ever, really, really and truly thankful that men here put up with me. (thanks heaps)

I was never the right person to get involved in this, but I felt I had to speak up about the wrongs for men were soooo, soooo angry and no one could get passed the anger.

Not just that, but women were saying to me, "you are lucky, the men talk to you, ask them why they abuse women?" I myself was angry that they wanted ME to be a listener..... Oh, did I ever tell you that I prayed for the gift to listen for I was terribly selfish for quite some time.

Well, online men didn't tell me why they abused women, but instead shared lots more. I couldn't take the unfairness anymore so I spoke to everyone they had a go at and found out they hurting because of it and so I just gave information men online gave to me.

I already knew why men abused women but I didn't believe in myself enough to say nor did I know someone didn't know.

I dont know why other men abuse women.. I only know why I do it..

Why do men abuse women? Why does anyone abuse anyone? And I refuse to believe it's even a large percentage of people who commit abuse. I think most people just want to be allowed to live their lives and try to find some peace and happiness along the way.

And the wage gap thing has been debunked a thousand times. Have you had a man admit to you that he pays women less because he thinks they are second incomes? Has anyone ever paid you less because of that? Just because some "commission" says it, doesn't mean it's true. That's the government. They propagandize all the time. It doesn't even make sense. If they could get away with paying women so much less (20%!), wouldn't women make up the majority of the work force?

With due respect, nothing is what it seems. HOW MANY TIMES MUST I ASK PEOPLE TO LOOK INTO THINGS THEMSELVES. If anything, you must know men repeat what another man says and no one is at the end to show facts just like the women they challenge for repeating something they don't know themselves. Why do you think I say Marx is the leader - he is the only man who I see who really went through what is expressed.

I too know women fought for the same wage back in the 70's. But things are far different than a set wage in a world where human capitalism is concerned. Board members and bosses decide your salary/wage. Do you know what men doing the same job as you earn? Are you earning the same as them?

All media articles blame it on women for not negotiating the wage/salary and say men push for the most while women take what they can get.

This is false. It's the older males who still think men should get more as if they have the chance of the traditional lifestyle for that's what happens up the top.
