"Women are responsible for overseeing the relationship, making sure the relationship runs, that everything gets done, and that everybody's happy," Murphy said.
Wife power could signal a harmonious couple. "There's been research that suggests that's a marker of a healthy marriage—that men accept influence from their wives," Murphy said.
The study, published in the April issue of the Journal of Counseling Psychology, was funded by the National Institute of Mental Health along with ISU.

What gives women all this power is the way the state has made it so a man has no options when in a marraige and no authority.

Disagreements that lead to divorce usually end up with women getting it all anyway.. Money and resources anyway..

I know it FFFF. I had a friend a great guitarist she did not like him playing it
the ultimatum was lose the guitar or you are out of the house.
The state has given power massive power to women. Unfortunately the hen pecked husband has been around a long time. A working man coming home from a hard days - goes along with her indoors just to get peace.Dick Emery below in a sketch from his 70s tv show.

Boredom is the biggest reason why females file divorce. A man who is a milquetoast wimp gets really boring quite quickly. She wants a real man, and quickly tires of the wimp who does what she tells him.

The shrinks really haven't got a clue about men or women.

Women have always had this 'power' since time immemorial and always exercised it. It was only with the advent of Freud / psychology at the opening turn of the last century and an analysis of women's hysteria and 'relationships' was started that men began to see though the fog and stopped being manipulated so easily by women. That's when women decided they were 'oppressed'.

The truth has continued to become known and you know what truth does - it sets you free.

There are still many men who go willingly into chains though. They give in too easily. Such men need Dr Banner's Capital little pills to put some 'iron of resolve' in them!.

In other words, husbands are to be treated as sperm-donating, money providing, mindless adolescents. Maybe this poisoned mindset that so many feminists have is why so many female teachers rape male students.

Could be seen that way.. On the other hand.. It could be that when the woman is empowered in the home she needs not look outside it for a feeling of purpose and power Thus, freeing a gent somewhat when he walks out of the door!

Please....a man excepting some input from his wife is a far, far stretch from being a good little husband and doing exactly what he's told. A healthy marriage is one of mutual respect...a marriage where the wife is "in-charge" is neither a healthy nor a happy one. My husband tends to seek my opinion in all things....because he respects my opinion and because I'm his best friend and vice versa....not because he'd better if he wants any semblance of a peaceful life. If he doesn't agree with me, I support him in his decisions because I trust him.
