I agree. I defended him on "Sit on the Ground" when all the other posters wanted him banned because free speech is important. Of course, I didn't fit well on that board for the same reasons, censorship.

Well, mad me misses Bob quite a bit.

He motivated me to post some good articles.

Bob is an asshat I can't stand that guy. Of course that's just my opinion.

He did have some good stuff sometimes but other times he takes ass hattery to new levels.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will be lifted for a series of reasons. First and foremost, judging fom conversations he & I have engaged in, I get the distinct impression he doesn't want to return. I think once his ego has been damaged, he walks away for good voluntarily.
I tend to let the admins use their own judgement and I understand the admin who placed the ban made it a permanent one rather than a temporary ban. Since then, I had thought Bob would understand the difference between one admin and all admins or one admin and myself. Alas, it seems I gave too much credit. On another forum, Bob vented his feelings quite adequately and clearly has a bad taste in his mouth. Unfortunately, I can't say I appreciate being lied about, name-called and ganging up schoo-yard tactics... which is exactly how he engaged me.
I actually enjoyed Bob's posts and think he has some excellent points... but, he won't keep himself in the very loosely defined terms of this site, despite repeated requests to calm down. It's a shame his ego gets ahead of him.

I reckon Bob Allen is pretty witty. The terms he uses for cops, lawyers and judges are hilarious.

When you advocate getting custody of your kids by killing Mom "OJ-style," I'd say that's grounds for a permanent ban. That was Bob who so advocated, and he was thus banned.

its like i said;
"Bob has his own view of things"-to take it as serious or as just part of the personna he presents is up to the individual reading it.

Everyone here has there own personna and Bob is no different.

I know he doesn't nessecarily fit in to the status quo here.

But isn't his opinion just as important as anyone elses even though it may not be the same?

Here's an idea, debate Bob on the issue and then the feminists that you so wish to impress will see that too. They are going to cherry-pick, of course, so what a waste it is to try to impress them in the first place.

Not 'look good', but remain 'sane' would be preferable.

Only days ago, he was used by a feminist on another board to prove that radical MRA's are no better than radical feminists (thus, proving that 'moderate' feminists are a-ok, just as moderate mra's are a-ok) and also to bring attention to the idea that the men's movement is just a hate campaign against ordinary women, not feminism. With that in mind, I was able to defend that claim by pointing out that Bob was banned from here, whereas radical feminists are not banned from pro-feminist sites... they are welcomed and applauded.

Having already attempted to debate with Bob on more neutral grounds already, I see that debate isn't something he seems interested in. Rather he made repeated arguments of "You're a liar!!!" and "Feminazzzzziii lover" and "Juzeeee a manginaaaahhhh"

Hardly debate.

Now, *if* Bob were more open to reasonable discussion and perhaps an ounce or two of civility, I'd look into talks with JD with re-establishing his membership and reintegration to this site... but as it stands currently, he has only given disincentive to do so.

There is a difference between the social abilities of you and JD. I'll leave it at that.
