    Re: How does love feel...

I am too young and angry with women to know what love is!

However, I do know what true love is!
    Perhaps you know, also.

love is basically a projection of ones romantic delusions to the other and then reacting to the other as if they were one self

lets say a dangerous form of narcissism as it diregards reality which is always a dangerous stance

somebody defined love as a temporary insanity curable by marriage

isn't that cogent for men nowadays

especially when cupcake decides she doen't love him any more and sets the dogs on him

That's so ...sad ...you make love sound like a mental illness- but perhaps it has a tragic ring of truth to it!

"Civilization can only revive when there shall come into being in a number of individuals a new tone of mind, independent of the prevalent one among the crowds, and in opposition to it- a tone of mind which will gradually win influence over the collective one, and in the end determine its character. Only an ethical movement can rescue us from barbarism, and the ethical comes into existence only in individuals."

    Re: How does love feel...

There are many different types of loves and they can feel a myriad of different ways.

There's the love we feel for our parents, that which we feel for our siblings, for our children, for our friends, for our spouses.......The very best part of human beings is our ability to love.
"Every noble impulse, every unselfish expression of love; every brave suffering for the right; every surrender of self to something higher than self; every loyalty to an ideal; every unselfish devotion to principle; every helpfulness to humanity; every act of self-control; every fine courage of the soul, undefeated by pretense or policy, but by being, doing, and living of good for the very good’s sake—that is spirituality." -David O. McKay

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

it seems Tera it has been your experience and mine

however I am referring to a potential glitch of romantic love not the sort of love non psychopathic parents have for their children

I know...I know...! The romantic love of your above description sounds like it should have a place in the diagnostic manual for mental health disorders...lol

And a case could be made for it, too...

What men (and women!) have done in the name of love. Oh the temporary insanity it does cause!

    Re: How does love feel...

When I was in love, I was loving the person and trying to better and help that person, I wasn't projecting deluded fantasies on him. Especially since I'm a pretty realist person. Sure, this is why the first month is the most fun in any relationship - the high makes you not see any flaws. But beyond that, the spell wears off and it combined with the lust it need to be partially replaced with respect, care and a lot of other things.

My biggest flaw is that I quit living for myself back then...

At least you have the insight now to see that as a flaw...there are lots of people who see that sort of thing as a good thing. How it hurts to learn things the hard way....but boy do we remember those kinds of life lessons.

Love is blind, makes people want to lose their minds, and it's kind of like a stray because it's hard to find.
Damn, it should be a crime to feel this good! On second thought, I better savor the moment before it does become one.

Nowadays, people especially women, don't know the difference between love and lust!
Love hurts and it burns while lust can be appeased by an orgasm!

    Re: How does love feel...

The beginning is fun for women because men have to chase and risk rejection for women. Women enjoy men taking this type of pain and fighting for them.

Besides women love men less than vice versa.
