Here we go... Payouts over fear of sexism
More here.WOMEN who believe they will suffer discrimination in a new workplace will be entitled to redundancy payments if they refuse to take the job, under a landmark industrial relations ruling.
The NSW Industrial Relations Commission decision means that women whose company is bought by another can be paid out if they can demonstrate a fair and reasonable belief their new employer will discriminate against them in any way.
...
But lawyers believe the new ruling will open up the possibility of redundancy payments to workers who have the mere impression they will be discriminated against. This could include sexism, racism or simply a belief their career could be hampered by moving to the new firm.
What else to say, than.. OMFG! ...If they believe they will (it's FUTURE TENSE for god's sake) be discriminated against they are entitled to payments if they refuse to take the job**
ABSURD OF THE HIGHEST ORDER!
"I was discriminated against" now equals "I will be discriminated against".
Karl, please let Sir Percy know about this (Australia).
**Notice the first word: Women. Not men too. Just women.S E R V I C E W I T H A S M I L E

I sent a pm (which will generate an email to him).
That is gross...
This 'policy' is something of an oxymoron.
As a man, it discriminates against me omitting my gender from eligibility. So, could I then use this policy to demand payouts based on the blatant sexism within?

Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Fie. A pox on the madness. Yes, I noticed it in my morning paper. The world of sense is turning oblique to its axis like the poles reversing. The sense of society is turning inside out. The guts of society will be spilled ( I 'believe', so it must be true). Brains are atrophying. Morals have been cast infront of sows. Our legislators are 'world's best practice' wankers. This is STAR quality stuff. Kurt Vonnegut, eat your heart out.
Well what did we expect? An AVO is given out like confetti on the basis that a woman 'fears' a future event 'might' happen, so a man is denied access to his own possessions and children. In Tasmania a man can be kept in prison without bail until he can prove that he is no threat, ie that a future 'might' event won't happen. No one has figured out how to do that yet. It is fucking madness. Femonazi 'logic'.
I am waiting for a new airline staffed entirely by women who chant planes into the air from runways lit by scented candles and go in the direction the tarot cards tell them. Subsidised fares of course. Next, any man will be jailed at some woman's whim because she thinks (hah!) that he 'might' rape her one day. Hell, why not pay her compensation now! We won't ever have intercourse again 'cause we've all been fucked already.

I get the distinct impression that Percy is not happy. I'm not sure what might give me that impression though.

Its coming the day when all we will be able to do is sit in the corner and dribble. Mind you, that's a qualification for politicians over here.

Edited: First shot was wrong cut and paste. Sorry Percy.
Re: Percy on the Australian situation.
Seems to be a spectrum of disgruntlement across feminised world.
Red: American men are starting to get angry in increasing numbers (unless they're already in prison - a significant proportion of the population).
Green: European men are befuddled. E.g. My Muslim neighbour seems to have a better family life than me. How can that be when it's obvious that's he's a wife-beating, effing, terrorist? What's more he lives off the state by driving a taxi twenty-four hours a day and lives in a pigsty that he actually paid for.
Violet: Aussie men are wondering, "Hey, I'm a gen-bloke - I paid my dues. Why the f**k are you picking on me"?
