i just got back from camping yesterday at the lake where the white otter castle(beautiful) is located.
Took my daughter there,as she was to young to remember our last trip to see it.

i would describe why the castle was built but this ballad sums it up just fine

this place is truly amazing-jimmy mquat built it all by himself when he was 60 and died when he got tangled in his fishing net when he was 63

hemust have been part engineer to move some of those logs outta the bush and into place all on his own-some of 'em are friggin' big

He'd never get planning permission these days. I bet he didn't have to do an Environmental Impact Statement. Building by himself would contravene a dozen 'Elf n Safety Laws now.

oh no doubt-nevermind just picking a spot in the bush and building-go to jail for that nowadays

i think this all happened around 1914-i may be mistaken though
