Question Harvard gym situation: What is being done to counter it?

I keep hearing about the women only hours at Harvard gym, which I personally think is stupid and, since we know making them revoke those hours will cause an uproar, what about pushing for an equal time frame for men only?

I would say pushing to have the woman only hours revoked but they seem pretty firm on their stance on that topic so about the only compromise I see would be making men only hours as well so both have an equal amount of time in the gym.

Anyways, it's just an idea, but I'm wondering what is being done about the situation? I'm seeing plenty of people complaining about it but it's seeming no one is taking action against the discrimination.

Does anyone know of any action being taken in regards to the Harvard Gym situation?

When the end of the world comes you will find me on my porch with a cigarette in one hand and a loaded .45 in the other.

People try to call me a liberal as an insult, but to the contrary, I find it to be a great compliment.

Yes, there is an ongoing war to turn Harvard into a women's college. Some years ago Harvard was a men's college and next door there was an affiliated womens college called "Radcliffe." The women weren't happy having the women's college becuase the graduates of Harvard earned much more success in life. So they demaded that Harvard allow females. Fine said the liberal owners of Harvard. Pretty soon the feminists at Harvard tossed out the man who was the President of Harvard and installed a female. Females had become dominant in the faculty and students, except for the technical fields that stubbornly demanded techinical excellence. Nevertheless the females who now run Harvard demanded that the technical Departments find a way to allow a majority of females to "excell" in their departments.

Not satisfied with "equal" domination of all departments at Harvard, the feminist management has now outlawed all men from the student athletic facility during the central daytime hours. Its part of their ongoing program to convert Harvard from a men's college to a women's college.

They will win a hollow victory. For it was not the bricks and mortor that made Harvard a great university. It was always the great men who studied there. By kicking the men out, the feminsits will have captured the bricks and buildings, but they can never capture the men who once made Harvard a great institution. They will have converted it into a bigoted and hateful shadow of what Radcliffe once was.

Bob's ancestors were the founders of Harvard.

Blessings

Bob

If women get 'women-only' hours, how about 'women-only', higher prices, in accordance with which?

Well ! why not just preprint their degrees and save them from the onerous intellectual effort and discipline of earning a degree like the awful chauvinistic undergraduate men - say a one off discounted degree extolling their virtual achievements cause they live in a politically correct feminist cloud cuckoo land anyway

Re: Harvard gym situation: What is being done to counter it?

There are two issues here.

One is the decline of University intellectual honesty due, in the main but not entirely to feminism - there is feminism's sista, Cultural Marxism. There are some splendid female scientists and academics, but even they are being swamped by their mediocre colleagues. Harvard is going over a cliff, suiciding. A great pity.

The second is the issue of women only this and that. I have no problem whatsoever with women ony hours in Gyms or any other place. Any woman with a tad of empathy - as Vicky displays here - will undertsand the men's wishes and needs too and seek men-only hours in the same degree.

But they don't. The rabid woman howls at the suggestion. They were not content with having their own university, exclusive to women, but wanted men to lose exclusivity in the men's university. Dog in the manger. The ordinary women remains silent of course - as she has for forty friggin' years.

Women's claim to Empathy is hollow and hubristic, as well as being a lie.

One more nail in the coffin. Another ten thousand woman rushing headlong over the cliff. Another step in the complete breakdown of our civilisation.

Women blow it.

I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it.
But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up.
I am outnumbered.
But...
YOU don't just make a difference,
you make THE difference.

Re: Harvard gym situation: What is being done to counter it?

This is about more than gender. It's also about religion and culture. It is MUSLIM women who want female-only hours at the gym.

Women-only gym hours stir debate at Harvard - CNN.com Women-only gym hours stir debate at Harvard. Story Highlights; A group of Muslim women asked the university for the special hours; Women's center: It's not ...

Student Ola Aljawhary, who is Muslim..."The majority should be willing to compromise," she said. "I think that's just basic courtesy. We must show tolerance and respect for all others."

How exactly are Muslim women showing respect, tolerance and courtesy for Harvard men?

This is another example of a minority group trying to control society. I hate it when someone with a "special lifestyle" moves to a country, joins a club or whatever and demands that everyone change for him, or, in this case, her. If you are supposedly bright enough to get into Harvard, you should realize that both men and women go to school there and share facilities such as gyms. Unless, Harvard is going to have equal, separate gym hours or equal, separate gyms, Muslim women should just don a burqha, use the gym with men and shut up. If they cannot handle that, then they should a) join a female-only gym off campus, b) transfer to Wellesley College (It's just down the road), or c) move back to where they came from.

I think the burka brigade needs to have a nice hot steaming cup of shut the fuck up
if china, india, or russia had suffered a attack on the scale of 9/11 after repeated attacks on their military and diplomatic interests, everyone who smelled like dirty camels and prayed with their ass in the air would have been rounded up and put in interment camps
if these people wanna cry I think america should give em somethin to cry about

No it's not about that. Women/feminists are latching on to the Muslim cause to advance their own movement. Of course, the bullshitty "conservative" media in the US will use any excuse to ostracise Islam and Muslims. Some people, unforunately, swallow it and don't see the wider picture, but really it's nothing to do with them at all.

If it really was for Muslim women, why not block access to non-Muslim women during these "restricted hours"? Why not allocate "social-slut" time for example Friday and Saturday night to these Muslim women? I'll tell you why not - because it's nothing to do with them.

I think it's quite passive of men to hand over more and more control to indifferent and destructive women of educational institutions such as Harvard. Ultimately I think as a strategy it will fail. Better to put up a fight and stand your ground.

Every time you turn on your television you are leaving yourself exposed to the feminist agenda. Every time you listen to pop music the feminist agenda is being blasted out of the speakers.

I.e. because Muslims don't drink.

The dominant issue is NOT Feminism. It's Anti-Western Civilization Socialism. Feminism, anti-White racism, illegal immigration, mass immigration, anti-heterosexuality (heterophobia), anti-Christianity, etc. are all tines of the same pitchfork being used to destroy Western countries. Feminism is one of the problems but it's not the only one. The rise of Islam in Western countries is a serious problem. Look at all of the violence taking place in France because of the huge enclaves of Muslims.

Because Muslim women have a problem exercising in front of men, not in front of Western women.
