Grammar of Male Violence / Feminists rewriting statistics.

    off our backs

    The original report:
In a report ďItís in our hands. Stop violence against women,Ē Amnesty said up to one billion women one in every three, had been beaten, forced to have sex or otherwise abused, often by a friend or family member.
And when rewritten by a feminist:

In a report ďItís in our hands. Stop menís violence,Ē Amnesty said up to one billion men, one in every three, had beaten, forced sex upon, or otherwise abused a woman, often a friend or family member.*
However, please note this - if you click the link to open the original PDF - there is an asterix by this claim. Reading further down, it explains:
*Of course we donít have the real statistic on this, because we
count victims instead of perpetrators. But realistically, how many
men is it that are committing all these beatings and abuses
against women? Is it not a billion? Is it only seven hundred and fifty
million men? Is it one in four men? One in seven?
So now, judging by the new choice in words, feminism wants to ignore multiple offenders in favour of treating victims of 'serial rapists' as having different aggressors.

This could have been rewritten, but instead of converting 1billion (hmm) victims into 1billion perpetrators, it could have simply stated something to the effect of "1billion women raped, at hands of a man" - this way they still retain their finger-pointing ability without changing the statistics they are so keen to quote.

I'd also like to see AA's reputable source for this claim of 1billion women raped/beaten.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.

Re: Grammar of Male Violence / Feminists rewriting statistics.

Amnesty, an organisation established by the British Communist Party for the aid of Communist prisoners in Spanish jails after the civil war there, is adept at fudging statistics, manipulating statistics and inventing statistics.

They are so inept and fast and loose with the truth that they can't even get their wrong stats right.

I billion women is not one in three (1.5 billion women; 1.5 billion men; 3 billion children), but two in three.

(the population worldwide is increasing so there has to be as many if not more children than adults. Ergo...)

We are talking of the difference between one and two here. They can't even get that right.

Now the vast majority of these women live in countries where statistics are not even collected. Many don't have a clear idea of how many people there are there. No one has gone around and asked every damned woman in the world to come up with that figure. It has been spirited out of the air by three women sitting around a table in Philadelphia.

we count victims instead of perpetrators.
    Hah.

They don't bother to count at all.

Look at what they claim to be counting ' Beating', forced sex, 'otherwise abused'

They widen the definitions of abuse and call it violence (buying a cabbage without the wife's permission; shouting from the kitchen to the living room) and call all violence 'beating', as a sort of code-word. They lump that all in with 'forced sex'' which they haven't needed to be bothered to count either - as these are women who think all sex is rape.

    A 'look' is abuse.

    Count it in.

Every woman has been 'looked' at. She's been raped.

Every woman is a victim. Next they will be claiming that the half a billion that they didn't count were hidden away by wicked men. ("No we couldn't count those because at census time, they were being thoroughly thrashed, bashed and raped in a back room by men with illegal cabbages and couldn't fill out the form")

I posted about a friend of a friend who got arrested after his wife chased him with a knife after he got home from work. She was bipolar and had him trapped in the bathroom when he called 911 on his cell when he could not get out the bathroom window as she sawed through the door.

Of course HE got arrested, adding to the DV stats.

It turns out the reason why he got arrested it is said...is that as the officers approached...they heard him yell at his wife. It did not matter that the officers found his wife holding a large knife and sawing through the door with the knife.

He was yelling "Stop" but yelling at a woman is considered domestic violence under VAWA. It's like they look for every excuse and preference for the woman and reach for every possible issue to nail the man.

It's so obvious that foul abuser was intending on using his body to assault the poor woman's knife.

Just think what would have happened if she'd had a gun. He could have assaulted her by catching an entire magazine of bullets with his torso, that evil man....

A lot of men are guilty of bullet theft....that is a serious crime!
The men's and fathers' movement needs to make sure it never sees females as the enemy,
but only misandry--whether from females or from males.
If not, we'll become like the bigoted feminists that this movement was formed to oppose.

Indeed - this is a question I've drawn attention on feminist forums many times.. if they continue diluting the definition of rape, people will begin to consider 'rape' as a very diluted 'crime'. Rape needs to remain as a terrible crime, not someone looking or thinking in a way that offends another.

Re: Grammar of Male Violence / Feminists rewriting statistics.

Something I hate about this hysteria is that it diminishes the severity of real domestic violence on those occasions when it does occur. I think most couples have had a dice-roll's worth of incidents from both sides. My mother is fond of telling me how my father gave her a black eye once (she claims for no reason) I've once gotten the full story from her, and my father won't talk about it. She also claims he shoved her, and that I saw. I will give you a run-down of the violent incidents I've seen with my mother who I hasten to add is an alcoholic adulterer who's never worked a day in her life, who actively abhors her husband despite the fact that he treats her like a queen.
During a trial separation, she demanded my father leave his home. He said no, so she shoved him repeatedly, he sat down and she kicked him repeatedly (this wasn't a case of like, girly shin-kick, but viciously attacking him trying to drive him out of the house) he stood up and pushed her back two feet and said 'Don't,' she didn't phone the police (I guess my dad should count himself lucky) on the other hand her version of events is now: 'When we separated, he stalked me. I had a restraining order against him, and he kept showing up at the home saying it was his house. One time I let him in because he said he wouldn't leave unless I spoke to him, and he pushed me over in the hall when I asked him to leave, I nearly broke my tailbone.'

There was no restraining order. Now I'm willing to bet the 'black eye,' incident was similar. I've never seen my father hit anyone (with a fist) in all the time I've known him.

She was cheating on him at this time, by the way, with an employee in the business my father had paid for. The employee was six years older than me. My mother claims he shoved her once - I was there - what actually happened? He mentioned wanting to buy a gym (he always had stupid hair-brained schemes) with a man my mother hated. My mother went crazy, she shoved him and he tripped into a sliding glass door. This could have killed him but luckily the glass did not break. She then opened the door and repeatedly tried to shove him outside screaming for him to get out. He said 'no, you get out,' and taking her arms (this was his place by the way) put her out the door. Unfortunately she tripped up, and she did hurt her arm quite badly. He drove her to hospital and was very apologetic. Her version of events is now that he was doing drugs, and getting more violent, and said he was bored of her and just 'threw her out the door,' these people have an insane attitude to the truth. She also claims he kept a gun in his van (lie) was having an affair with one of my sisters friends (lie) and stole money from her (lie)

Unfortunately in my life I've been witness to two absolutely horrific examples of severe domestic violence. One involving a female perp, one male, both of which ended horribly for the victim because of the stupid mentality of suburban idiots who believe all this stupid shit. On my block when I was about thirteen there was a young couple, and I knew the wife because I sometimes stayed at her place after school if my parents were at work, well my dad, usually my mother would be out faffing around. Her husband was insane. I mean insane, or just a complete bastard. She had hair went all the day down her back, very long, very pretty anyway one day he just ripped out her hair and half-ripped half cut it all off. No idea why. I'm not saying I know, maybe the girl was really antagonizing? Maybe she knew how to push the guys buttons, but to me that made little difference because what the guy did was just so bad. She got beaten, really beaten, I mean like she had boot-prints on her face and teeth marks when you saw her outside. I've known some rough people and places since, but I've rarely seen men who took the same kind of beatings, not when it was a five on one dog pile. This guy must have spent pretty much all night working over his wife some nights because she was a mess. Into Hospital six or seven times while I lived there.

I'd tell my mother and the other mothers, and they would say 'So? Our husbands are all pigs as well. That's what happens to women, the police won't do anything.' I'm not joking. These fucking chardonnay sipping bitches with their 100k husbands just refused to believe that there was a victim in their town who wasn't them, or that the police (i.e. men) might actually do some good. I spoke to my dad and being an old fashioned guy, the most he was willing to do was talk to the guy and tell him to lay off, or talk to the woman and tell her that they'd help her move out. Anyway I phoned the police myself after she got taken to hospital again because I heard she'd been put through a glass shower recess and was very nearly killed. Thousands of stitches, cut to ribbons. The guy ended up in jail. She went mad on me when I said I phoned the police. I was really cut up about that. It felt horrible, and she never moved out of the house and was waiting for her husband to be released. I just wanted a pat on the head or something because I'd gotten shit from my mother (literally screaming at me for ringing the police) because 'police only come to ghetto neighborhoods!' but I liked the lady, I mean, fine she was twenty years older than me but I don't even mean like that. She was nice. She had a son who'd died of sids, and had all these sort of army-men that she'd gotten from her dad for him (but not modern, like greco-roman and medieval) and I'd set them up like 'battle of marathon,' or 'battle of Gaugamela,' and explain why Hannibal was better than Alexander the Great (and Ceasar too) and she pretended to be interested. Well I don't know how long her husband got put away for, and we moved not long after. I'm honestly willing to bet she's probably found someone else who treats her as badly, or he's out now, or she's dead. That was a harrowing time of my life. Especially because it happened right when I was becoming a man myself, and so I'm finding myself suddenly bigger and stronger and with a lot of energy, and even anger, and I can see how that's being channelled by some people. I was so terrified I'd end up like that guy, and all the older women in my life acted like it was a guarantee writ in stone. All men are evil. Men use their power to hurt women so naturally I'd grow up to do the same.

The other incident was far more complex, and involved my uncle and his second wife (he was a widower) who had a step-sister who'd always controlled her and was the overbearing force in her life. She was a career criminal (shoplifter) and her little sister was basically her stress-relief slash punching bag. The whole story is sordid, and long, but basically just involved her and my uncle trying to get away from the bitch who, being a woman, the police gave carte blanche to in regards to fucking with their lives. The younger sister (my uncles wife) committed suicide in the end, and I personally refuse to see it as anything short of murder. She was harassed, stalked, threatened, mobbed and dogged until the only way out was death because her attacker was a woman the police would not help. In fact nobody helped, and because the sister accused my uncle of being violent, he was himself charged twice. So this woman would accuse him to get him out of the house, and while he was gone, she'd go on her merry way terrorizing the girl left there. Fucking appalling. My uncle never got over it, and Iím not surprised.

Thatís the worst of it Iíve ever come across. Though I could recount more minor incidents from my life (I.e. minor incidents until the woman involved decides six-months later to enlarge it by spewing a bunch of total crap)

@dadsavage Wow! That was harsh for the little sister. Hope you see all this as a learning experience that brought you to a new level of social consciousness. God job for getting all that out there. I have much to say also, but generally keep it in. The tape still rolls in my head to man up and not sissy out. I don't know you but I will sissy out now and say I am proud of you for writing this piece and you give me courage to maybe use this site as a resource at some time when I will feel more comfortable. Thanx for the chin up even if it was sorrow you left in words. Those words will set you free!!

"Otherwise abused"? Love the way they sneak this most vague, loose of terms in at the end, along with far more serious, specific acts, in order to up the numbers, yet keep them largely associated with the more serious acts, in the minds of those who read this.

They're cunning, I'll give them that....

    statistics are boring numbers to new age gals PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF new age gals create their own statistics - we all know wimyn are natural born victims;

10 000 years of oppression by the Morlocks etc - this revealed in wimyn's morphed version of history ( er her story) their corrupted law eg Family Court machinations agin sincere men and their flair and penchant for lying their knickers off eg Duke Lacrosee and Hofstra
