Well I read the article and both of these guys called the police, BUT did nothing else. That is what she is complaining about in the original article. The feminist posting this is well saying what is not true. To be fair, some other posters seem to understand those guys.

Men are much more likely to die to protect a woman. Check out my thread about the homeless man who died doing so.

While I'll agree with the irony of feminists expecting chivalry....chivalry aside, it is always a failure when good people stand by and allow evil to occur in their midst. Men, women.....it doesn't matter what gender the observers or victims are; to stand by and allow any person of any gender to be violently assaulted IS deplorable.

I saw part of a clip the other day of a man beating his dog to death (I turned it off after about 30 seconds). His neighbors watched; stood by and filmed it but nobody said a word or lifted a finger to stop him.

None of this is necessarily indicative of gender. People care far less about people today. Many can barely be bothered to care about or help their neighbor....let alone some stranger on the subway.....and that, in my opinion, is something we should all be concerned with.

It is hard situation to be in,to see someone being harmed regardless of their gender,sex or whatever and to most people we would in some way intervene,and when i was younger i would have rushed in like some Captain save the world,but even in the short time(45 years) that i have been on this planet,my attitude has changed,when you have been bitten on the arse a couple of times helping people who really did not deserve protecting,i now would likely to walk on if i see a women in trouble,though i will if i see a chap in trouble,i do not stop for female hitchhikers,or ifthey have car trouble.
I feel terrible admiting this,even as i write these words,but my trust in Women has gone,and it is not that i have been hurt so badly by them,i just do not care for them anymore,when and why this happened,i am not sure.

I don't hold a dog in the same regard as a human.

We could all watch corporations kill cows and chickens by the hundreds too.

As for no one wanting to help each other. Only the behavior of men has changed, women have never been willing to protect men and you know why men are changing.

Years ago a friend of my brothers saw a man getting beat quite severely, he walked over and said "Hey guys, I think he's had enough." That was it, just made a comment. BAM, they crushed his skull in with a steel pipe, he'll never be able to smell again, his face is scared for life and he has very little hearing in one ear.

I'm a reasonably fit strong guy, but there's no way I would ever try to stop a fight, you don't know if the guy you're trying to stop is armed, crazy, or a way better fighter then you, or there my be more of them than you. I am not trained to fight, to "step up" against so many unknowns is just plan stupid.

Because of societies training I would feel more compelled to stop a fight where a woman was getting beat than a man, but I hope for my own safety that in either scenario I would do nothing more than pull my cell phone out and make a call.
