I saw the ad as men are so damned stupid and egotistical that they would rather do stupid - getting hurt - things than drink a diet soft drink.

Sugar is the main reason for drinking fizzy drinks I would think..

The first thing I look at when I select a crate of fizzy stuff is the sugar content..

Anything less than 10% just aint gonna do the job!!

Men need a healthy intake of sugar in order to function I think, since we often forget to eat for days, but drinking is easy!

Feminists complaining about this advert (only men hurting one another, no women!) is proof that they'll find something to complain about even though the complaint isn't valid.

I thought the add was stupid, ineffective but sort of funny.


I remember once getting my fingers stuck in a conveyor belt at work. And when I got them out, they were horribly mangled. I was smart and went to the nurse about it, but I tried not to show any outward signs of how bad it hurt. To everyone who asked I just said, "I'm good".

So this is sort of a true stereotype. This add pisses Feminists off because even though it is a joke, it shows that men are 10 billion times tougher than women.

Because of it's "political" nature, it was barred from Super Bowl airing, simply ASSURING a much broader viewing in "important" mediums such as You Tube.
Yet, apparently, PETA had enough "extra" cash lying around to produce such an ad
"on spec". Even if EVERY performer "donated" (in exchange for exposure?) their time to prance about having simulated sex with vegetables, such ads are ASTOUNDINGLY expensive to produce.

What's the Vegas line on THAT one, evil men exploiting wimmins for the entertainment of men, or [i]empowered, intelligent, independent females (without the handicap of actually speaking...off script) raising awareness of (predominantly female) Vegan "values"?

Either way, the eternally distraught should um...construct... merit in criticism.

The fems were very pissed about the PETA add, but since it wasn't aired, their ability to bitch about it was neutralized. They talked about it a few days ago but have since lost interest.
