Thumbs down Feminism humour: false accusation = funny

Yeah, we all know the score - feminism claims to be for equality... and then they crack jokes like this:

Quote:
whingevillage 'host' (aka moderator):
One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out.
She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book. Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?"
"Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?")
"You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her.
"I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading."
"Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at
any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up."
"If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault," says the woman.
"But I haven't even touched you," says the game warden.
"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment."
"Have a nice day ma'am," and he left.
MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also think.
So, naturally, I responded:

Quote:
me:
And not the most unlikely event to occur, either.
I got wrote up for sexual harassment once.
I'll tell you how it happened...
I began working in a factory and was stationed between two women. I had no political thoughts back then. Both women were my senior, one age in her mid 30s and the other somewhere in her mid 50s.
The younger one and I got on quite well, laughing & joking about almost anything. I got on very well with the older one too, in fact, as I didn't drive, I frequently had a lift into work with them at 5am as she & her husband lived literally down the road from me. Her husband would drive us both to work.
Anyway, we all got on. Work was good.
Until.
One day I got called into the office.
I sat down, thinking I must have broken some of the lenses by putting them in backwards perhaps or something similar. No. Apparently, I'd upset one of the women by telling a joke that offended her.
Yep. Sexual harassment - because of a joke. What a joke!
It was odd though. I defended myself and explained that I had reciprocated humour with her, and she had also been telling sexist jokes -some very demeaning and offensive. I enquired if she too would be spoken to about her choice in humour.
There had been no touching. There had been no physical contact. There had been no crude remarks about her body or looks or even dress code (or lack thereof).
I couldn't believe I was being pulled in over a joke, which had been in response to one of hers. Had I simply walked in and began gestating one crude or sexist joke after another, I could've understood. But to be called in for doing less sexism than her?
WoW.
This is how 'cool' sexism against men has become, we can laugh and joke about things that actually do ruin men's lives. And it has not a thing to do with the fact that she may be able to think...
It does, however, reflect what I had said in a previous thread, that feminism has promoted misandry and false-accusations to the point that normal women feel entitled somehow, simply because of the possession of their genitalia. This is the wonderful 'girl power' syndrome smacking men for daring to be male.
She feels entitled to do as she pleases, even it is breaking laws - the lawkeeper is powerless as clearly implied, and hence her feeling of entitlement paid off.
Yep - it is a joke, but i'm not so sure it's funny, but it's certainly a joke alright.

Out of the gloom a voice spake unto me. 'Smile and be happy, Things could get worse."
So I smiled and was happy, and behold... Things did get worse.

**yawn**

Sounds like self served ego inflation to me

Her claim that she can just as easily charge him for sexual assault is based on the false reasoning that his body alone shows the same intent to violate her as her fishing equipment and trespassing show intent to violate the no fishing law.

She is ALREADY sitting in a NO FISHING area with a FISHING POLE and other fishing equipment. As for him...DUH! he has NOT sexually assaulted her nor shown any intent whatsoever.

How that can be seen as anything but a false allegation is beyond reason.
It should have gone something like this;

"Reading a book," she replied arrogantly.
"Threatening a law enforcement officer is an arrestable offense" says the game warden.
"That's true, but I'm female, you can't arrest me"
"Yes I can, for fishing in a Restricted Fishing Area, threatening a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest"
The Game Warden then arrests the woman and takes her to the local police station.

MORAL: Don't fish in a no fishing area. LOL

Sadly, your variation of this 'joke' is actually closer to humour - because it's so 'out of this world' and unlikely to actually happen

If only this could come to righteous fruition Anima-87-388. I think that's what most on this board are working towards - "equal" responsibility for all regardless of gender. Isn't that 'true' democracy?

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
