There's something missing in this news story. Presumably the grandparents - who have the child - want to keep the child, possibly believing the mother innocent (she has not been 'jailed for raping the child' as she has not been found guilty). If the grandparents were willing to let the father have care, I doubt the law would even get a look-in, other than maybe something filed later to keep the paperwork straight.

Nonetheless, a parent's rights to be custodial parents should far-outweigh the grandparents wishes.

I agree 100%. Grand Parents need to be Grand Parents, not Parents a second time around. My Ex's Mom and Dad tried to get custody of my sons after my ex left. They tried 2 times and lost. They had the DCS on their side, they had the courts. I simply had Myself and my boys on my side, and one other force, I had the truth. My boys were happy, doing well in school, they played Hockey in the winter, Baseball in the spring and summer. They had a Poppa who would fight Belzebub for them barehanded. Even a dried up and grouchy feminist judge was finally swayed.

This is about a love-triangle, or rather, love-quadrangle to be precise.

The accused mother of the child had a boyfriend who is not the father of the child. The video was sent to this boyfriend according to the reports. This boyfriend had an ex-girlfriend. The ex-girlfriend discovered the video and alerted the police when she logged-in to her ex's email address.

The father of the child was a target of child-support suit only a week before, when the mother went to see a judge:

If a mother sues a man for back-child support, why there may be lingering doubts as to whether he is the father once the mother cannot continue with the custody?

I am also not surprised. Child protection generally steps in when a child is abused and that's a whole other ball game IMO. Now it's not a war between parents, but 'what's in the best interest of the child' within the whole of society.

Probably not, but that's a female privilege they're not even aware of and take for granted thanks to biological differences of our sexes. This can't really be avoided if his paternity is questioned. A few hundred quid to be a parent would be a reasonable cost.

I have allot to say about child services but I can't condemn them for looking at smoke for children can't stick up for themselves.
