Women have smaller brains. Does this mean that we are supposed to get bigger grades just because we're women? Screw it. You can't do the same things, you don't get in the military.
And since we don't live in shitholes anymore, we have running water and stuff so circumcision is pointless.

Re: fanmail from Y!A
Hello boys.
First things first. I agree with you on the vast majority of points you have made. That being said, I am still entitled to my own opinion and you are entitled to try to change it if you think it isn't right.
I'm "man" enough to admit I am wrong when I see that I am wrong. I honestly did not mean any offense, and I see that my circumcision bit was a bit oxymoronical. I don't have an opinion on that in the way that I'm not sure yet, if I find it wrong or right, I just presented a reason for it. I don't have a penis, so I can't really know if I'd prefer the pig in its blanket or not, now can I?
I hope we can all come to see that I am sarcastic, I make fun of myself a great deal of the time (I just don't always use an 'lol' while I'm doing it) and I'm opinionated but open to changing my mind. If I say anything and you aren't sure if I'm being sarcastic or serious, ask. I've been told, repeatedly, that sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet, after all it is hard to see my ironic one eyebrow lift from across the ether.
You seem like a passionate group of guys, and as far as I have seen, Marx and Percy each of a good sense of humor. I hope we can all get along... eventually... after you've each had your turn flogging me. If I don't make it, tell my mom I loved her.

She's quite funny for a woman (no, that's not sexist, just the truth
), although rather selective with the facts, and a little kooky.
An easy way round that is to include one of these smiliesIf I say anything and you aren't sure if I'm being sarcastic or serious, ask. I've been told, repeatedly, that sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet, after all it is hard to see my ironic one eyebrow lift from across the ether.

You seem very opinionated Hilarious Heather, I like that, I also like that you're willing to discuss and even be proven wrong, and admire you coming on here and facing us all.
You're bloody right about sarcasm not translating well, you have to be clear, I think it's because English is not a lot of people's first language.

Welcome Heather.
You are a 'naughty' girl who likes baiting the boys to attract attention. Fair enough as far as it goes and you will find a lot of fun here if that is all you are after.
I quite like naughty girls.
About the 'Opinion' bit: You have a point of view, which describes where you are standing more than what you are looking at. You have yet to express any 'opinion'. There is no 'entitlement' to express a POV.
You have changed your mind on a few issues because you are in the process of forming an opinion which you made a decision about far too early. You changed your mind when given some facts and alternatives. Well done to Feckless. You might come to look to him for a good, well balanced and supported view. He does his research.
An 'Opinion' can only be reached after studying all the relevant facts and perspectives, the literature and the arguements. Making up your mind before that is simply expressing a prejudice - pre judging before all the facts and evidences are in.
But.... There are several other women here so you may understand that we are not as prejudiced as some might like to think. Most of these women have been given a hard time at one time or another and are very 'opinionated' themselves, but we love them all, even Jools ! They also teach us chaps the various perspectives of reasonable women who seek understanding.
Welcome. Learn.

Re: fanmail from Y!A
Aw shucks, thanks guys.
I can't exactly point out where I was wrong as I have the memory of a goldfish, each trip around the bowl is new and exciting.
Well said Percy, and yes, well done Feckless. I love a man with citations.
I do have my prejudices, I will admit that. Some of them are well founded others... not so much.
I don't want to step on toes or piss people off, I'm generally an agreeable kind of person.
Who knew Sociology class would lead to all of this?

'Even Jools?' Especially Jools.
She was the first to welcome me here a year or so ago and she did not give me a hard time like so many others did at first. If it weren't for her kindness and compassion I probably wouldn't have stuck around past the first few postings. I actually survived Mr. "Blessings, Bob" thanks to Jules. Quite a gal, she is.
