This past weekend I formally launched DVStats.com, a Web site devoted to collecting and categorizing academic research on domestic violence against males. The value of this site is that it provides an easy way to find research that shows domestic violence is not a gender issue, that both genders perpetrate it in equal frequency. The site allows powerful searches from a Web-based form, letting you search for specific information, include/exclude certain types of studies, search by year, or even sample size. The results of each search are analyzed to provide a summary of the aggregate sample size of the studies displayed, and a comparison of violence between genders. One additional feature is the ability to embed the entire search engine on another Web site, through an inline frame. If you own a Web site or have a blog that supports the "iframe" HTML tag, you can embed this search engine on your Web pages. One challenge I received to the assertion that males are victimized by domestic violence just as often as females, is that females live in greater emotional terror because of the greater physical posture of males. Therefore, even if there is mutual violence (and even if women are engaging in such violence by initiating it, not just in defense), women still have it worse because they are in greater emotional fear than men. This claim is hard to counter, because emotions are hard to quantify. But DVStats.com now gives you the ability to counter it. Go to the site and enter the word "fear" into the Description field, then submit the search query. You'll be surprised with the research you'll find, countering the above argument about "female fear" of potential domestic violence trumps male pain from ongoing domestic violence. Acknowledgments to Martin S. Fiebert, Ph.D., who assembled the bibliography from which the DVStats.com database was derived. Thanks also to Little Glutton at AntiMisandry.com for assembling the direct links to most of the studies. Please visit the site when you get a chance, and feel free to drop a note via the "Contact Us" link. http://www.dvstats.com/ John Dias John Dias Founder, DontMakeHerMad.com "Stopping False Allegations with Surveillance Technology"

That's very cool and useful, keep up the good work. By the way I think this thread should be in Activism / Media / Campaigns . Maybe you can submit your website to www.mens-links.net and search engines. That should increase traffic.
~ A man needs a woman like a lion needs a stove. ~ ~ Women deserve only equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. ~ ~ Men are not collectively "guilty" of anything. ~ ~ Never needing to be pregnant is a blessing. ~ ~ Feminist ideology “men have to respect women, but women have no reason to respect men” ~ ~ Everybody makes choices, and nobody should be entitled to special treatment because of those choices. Equal results based on unequal treatment amounts to no kind of equality at all. ~
