The day our sons were born

The day my son was born was the happiest day of my life. I've never felt an emotion as strongly as this. Before the nurse even had a chance to wrap him up and put him in my arms, I was bawling like a baby. Such a precious moment, such a treasured memory. All the pain of labor disappeared in the blink of an eye when I saw my child for the very first time. Life doesn't get any better than this.

Exceptionally happy days/events are rare in a life. We are told to expect happiness as a 'right' and all the time, but the nature and life itself determine otherwise. Child-birth is right there up amongst the best opportunities.

I 'helped' deliver my son and daughter. Without playing favourites I can say that when my daughter, my little petal, was born I thought I was going to rise out of the World from immense, overwhelming Joy.

I will never forget the day my son was born.........his mom was screaming, I was so stoned I could hardly sand up(plus I had been working 35 hours overtime the pervious week) his grandpa had to get off work and his mom of course had to make one of the nurses think she was gonna jump up and whip her ass as soon as she squeezed Isaiah out

I witnessed the Birth of all Five of my Children. It was an amazing experience. And was the First of My EX Wife's Family of the Men to be in the Delivery Room. My youngest was born I was asked by the Doctor if I wanted to Deliver him? I said No. But I was very close to see the event.

My Grandsons live in Arizona, LA, and Florida. And I don't get to see them often enough. My Second Son B, just swore his Oath to Join the US Army. He wants to become a Ranger, part of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Like his Great Uncle who was in the Second Rangers in WW2. I wish he would have gone into the Coast Guard. But it was his choice. He joins his Brother and Step Brother. One in the 160th the other a Marine Gunnery Sgt. I will have three dogs in the fight. And would love to see them home instead.

The Marine has the names of his Dead buddies tatooed on his Forearms. And has a Chest full of Campaign and Combat ribbons to prove it.
