Percy and Marx, you are correct. I actually saw some infomercial about a toothbrush sanitizing device in which they discussed this. They were hinting that the mist from the toilet getting on your toothbrush causes major health concerns as smoking cigarettes does. I don't know about that much; they were after all trying to sell a product.
Yan Yan I enjoyed your story, and the reality check you have provided!

Re: Consumerist Toilet-Seat Politics
We don't, but women do - extensively, and religiously!
For women, securing something as seemingly insignificant as "rights" regarding something as petty as 'toilet seat politics' transcends a power dynamic which will dominate the proceedings for the rest of their life regarding relationships with men, and how they 'control' them!
Why should men resist a gynocentric indoctrination procedure, and see it as a major issue?
Silly men resisting any gynocentric theme!Last edited by Celtic Druid; 22nd-July-2007 at 11:48 PM.

Re: Consumerist Toilet-Seat Politics
Nice brother. As much as I'd like to wave a magic wand and make starvation a myth, we're stuck with the reality.
Only so many miracles can be performed on one day brother (it's the law!).
I do as best I can "morally" to better others around the world. However, I'm only one man.
The purpose of the site is primarily 'mens rights.'
"The betterment of Brothers, and sisters worldwide is a righteous concern."
However, we can only do so much. To ensure a modicum of success is to specialize, ie: mens rights.
We can't fight all the wrongs at once, and expect to win.
Thereby embracing moral "worldwide" introspection dilutes our conviction, and in turn our cause.Last edited by Celtic Druid; 22nd-July-2007 at 11:31 PM.

Re: Consumerist Toilet-Seat Politics
The advert in question is one of a series, all of which portray home life and male-female relationships as conflict-ridden. In every one of the adverts shown thus far the man is beaten into submission by a woman. The latest has a woman in her late fifties or early sixties berating her husband.

Re: Consumerist Toilet-Seat Politics
This is a 'marketing ploy' which panders to the "innate" spite of women who represent the majority of consumerist spenders. Advertising agencies understand this implicitly.
Male-bashing adverts aren't necessarily misandrist. It's just business, that is, it's just appealing to womens spiteful, vindictive and nasty "inherent" nature, and in turn profit is accrued.
Most women, more so than men, are sheep. Their easily 'herded' into an idea, and expansions beyond that (ideology). The majority of adverts are directed towards the most gullible, and the most influential consumerist spenders = women. It's just business primarily!
Although, the reality of a gender 'power dynamic' remains within the absurdity of 'toilet-seat politics.'Last edited by Celtic Druid; 23rd-July-2007 at 12:34 AM.
