    Question Christmas, who is thinking about it at the moment?


    Folks,
    I'm in the midst of what we call the "silly season".
    Am I the only one that that is getting rather tired of the false Xmas cheer handed to us by the advertising fraternity?

    I have a LOT of work to do between now and the holiday that is Xmas.
    It is Saturday over here, I started work at 6am and have just finished (it is 9:15pm), I have another 3 hours of paper work before I get to go to bed.
    I will be doing a 12 hour day tomorrow as well.

    Earning a living seems to be getting harder and harder as the years go by.

    The novelty of Xmas wore off for me years back, I find it more of a pain in the arse than anything these days, as people try and get "last minute" jobs done before the big day that is Xmas.
    Personally, I'll be sleeping over Xmas or fishing, I just need some mental and physical down-time.

    Anyone else feel the same way?

    Today it's snowing the first time here... I thought that it will be something nice and I was happy. Obviously if you don't have a family or celebrate it with it, it's boring and no fun.

    I hear you....I have to quit my free day on Monday simply because I wasn´t able to get my shit done and of course it had to be done.

    Of course, I ain´t happy, wife ain´t happy even my little one seems to be grumpier than usual. Christmas feelings.....nooooooo, I will be glad once everythings done.
    The men's and fathers' movement needs to make sure it never sees females as the enemy,
    but only misandry--whether from females or from males.
    If not, we'll become like the bigoted feminists that this movement was formed to oppose.

    I like Christmas, but what annoys me is when it's shoved down one's throat from the beginning of November. In mid-November this year, I walked into a shop, and my ears were greeted by the sound of the song 'Do they know it's Christmas?'; how about 'Do they know it's NOT Christmas?'?? I get the feeling it's going to be more depressing, next year, when I have a kid who I won't be getting to spend Christmas with, when it should be spending Christmas with him making it more special.

    And I'm feeling this before he's even BORN.......

    I was referring to Mike. And friends aren't the same. Friends are just a poor replacement for a family. I hope in 10 years from now, I will have 4 little things running around the Christmas tree. lol

    Anyway, I'll have a lot of cool things to do for the upcoming days, so I won't be on much.
