    CAFC to close its doors?

The California Alliance for Families and Children (CAFC) may soon be closing its doors. This is the only full-time lobbying operation in the entire men's and father's movement. A key donor that supplied 2/3 of their budget just dropped out, due to the lack of support by the larger community beyond the meager $30k that the CAFC was operating under. We stand to lose a tremendous amount of political influence if this happens.

There are two calls to action to prevent this. Read more here:

That is sad California is a state that really needs this type of group not to mention whenever California passes a law many other states look to it for guidance so it has a far reaching affect. Hope fully we can find a way to keep the doors open.

Well, if you would please donate...

    http://www.cafcusa.org/contribution.aspx

I donate $100 month. There is a donor in Florida who gives $5 a month, because that's all he can afford. But he gives it without fail; every month, a check arrives for $5. That's the point, I think. We need to give of our own money, in addition to all the things we already do. This is going to an organization that has gotten, and is getting, results in the legislature. It's the biggest bang for the buck that any MRA can possibly get for his activism.

Please, everyone, consider donating, especially if you live in the U.S.

Consider what is at stake: First, there are all these blog closings, and now an organization with proven results is looking at folding. This would be a substantial setback for the movement if our only full-time lobbying operation in the world closed down. We have to stand up and support them.

I could probably do $20 dollars a month but for now that is about all I can squeeze out of the lemon. I'll send it after the first as I get paid once a month. So if you would John pm me then with the link and I'll send it otherwise I may forget.

I would normally give money, but my ex gets half of my pay as it is.
