Angry Harry takes second

The Bloggers Choice Award winners for 2007 were finally announced. For the "Best Political Blog" category, Feministing.com came in first, followed by Angry Harry. We all know that Angry Harry was far ahead until the vote counts stopped being displayed, and so this "victory" for Feministing should be interpreted with that in mind. Nevertheless, a major accomplishment for an MRA blogger.

Great job, Harry!

No doubt there will be some slack from coming second to an opposition political blog (which is ridiculous as it is rights we are talking about) but none the less this is great news that Angry Harry is up there.

From nowhere is the MRM coming. No political backing, no media hype and no state funding. And it doesn't look to stop. 40 years behind in the race is men's rights and that is a huge accomplishment in my eyes.

So now more people will learn there is a men's movement.

There's something very fishy about this: feministing had been lagging behind more than a 100 votes for several months, and all of a sudden the last few weeks where the votes aren't visible they get 400 votes?

Feministing probably does get a lot of visitors, and a lot of traffic. If they did surge at the last minute, so what? Our guy still came in ahead of DailyKos! We're in the big leagues, guys! (at least our brother Harry is!)

And if there was a fix, so what? We still came in second place! Not bad for a movement that is fund-less, and politically incorrect at that.

It's not a time to get angry; it's time to celebrate! Yea, Harry!

AWESOME!!

When you consider the political and financial backing the women's movement has, as opposed to the mrm, which is 100% member-supported (or close to, at any rate), I think this is an absolutely MAJOR accomplishment.

Like it or not, AH, you're among the best-known men's rights activists in the world.

Not only that, but this wasn't the "gender politics" category; it was all politics.
