Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Re: Is It Acceptable for Antifeminist Bloggers to Refer to Men as "Creepy"
Luke, you seem to be preoccupied with this. If a man is creepy, he's creepy. I love men. I think men get treated like animals. But some men are creepy. Just like some women are creepy.
If it's referring to all men, or a particular group of men, as creepy, then yes, that's wrong. But if a person is creepy, it's ok to say so.

As I stated previously, and as KM has just stated, if we're referring to individual men as creepy - that is a characteristic of that person. To refer to all men as creepy, is wrong - regardless of who or why they are saying 'all men are creepy'.

Re: Is It Acceptable for Antifeminist Bloggers to Refer to Men as "Creepy"
There was a debate over on my blog about a man who went over to GL's blog and who was called "creepy" and "desparate", and his post was referred to as "crud" by GL because he looked at one of GL's Russian women pictures and stated that he wanted to have a relationship with one of the particular women in the pictures, and left his email.
I thought that that was a double standard because I have seen women do similar things with regard to men, but they have never been labeled "creepy" or "desperate" or anything like that.
Usually in practice what happens is that when a woman does something like that to a man, the man in question is regarded as "lucky".
But if it is the man who asks for the relationship, the man in my experience is usually regarded as "creepy".
I'm not making a judgment on whether what the man did is right or wrong.
But when I discussed it with GL and his gang, they pretty much ignored the fact that there is a double standard there.
It really bugs me that women get a total free pass on doing those sorts of things, and are virtually NEVER regarded as "creepy", but the second a man does it, he is all of a sudden "creepy".
I don't know, maybe you guys had different life experiences, but especially being in the man-hating world of college, it seems like that's pretty much the way things are.

Re: Is It Acceptable for Antifeminist Bloggers to Refer to Men as "Creepy"
Maybe in retrospect I should have been clearer with my poll questions, and I should have been clearer on what the situation was, but honestly what I was trying to get at is that antifeminist bloggers should be aware of the double standard in the word "creepy", and he definately shouldn't have used the words "creepy" and "desparate" in the way that he did.
Oh, and now that I look at it, GL did say "anyone", so he wasn't making a statement about just one man. He was basically labelling any guy that asked a woman for a relationship on his blog and left their email as "creepy" and "desparate". (Source: http://russianwomen.wordpress.com/20...ruth/#more-353) And like I said in my last post, that's a complete double standard because I've seen women do that exact same thing, you know, where they give men slips of paper with their phone numbers attached to it, and sometimes they even kiss the paper so that their lipstick is attached to it. I've seen women do that to men, and those women I've never seen regarded as creepy, but I've seen men try to do it, and all the sudden those men are creeps.
And I don't think it's appropriate for an antifeminist blogger to further that double standard.

Oops, I voted wrong. I clicked that it was ok. Can it be changed to no, please?

It'll be changed to no when I tally up these results at the end, and I shove it in the guys' faces who were telling me that the men's movement would take their side and say that it's OK to label men "creeps" and "creepy" for bullshit reasons whereas they knew perfectly well that women were getting a complete free pass in the matter.

Re: Is It Acceptable for Antifeminist Bloggers to Refer to Men as "Creepy"
I put undecided because you make it sound like "all men" -- like men, in general -- and I voted before reading the thread. But, to be more specific, of course you can say bad things about some men as a man-advocate. You can even label an entire class of men as creepy or even scum of the Earth bastards whom I would personally like to bludgeon to death and set on fire. There are evil men in the world and some of them form coalitions of evil.
Your buddies are just wrong about this guy being creepy, is all. It's actually more like uncool or not suave or something. Basically, he's probably not a lady's man if he is picking up girls on a russian-women-over-the-internet-type thing. I don't know that that automatically makes him creepy -- not even if it were the case that most guys who do that are creepy for other reasons.
Personally, under the right circumstances, I would do a mail order bride thing, for instance.
