On this day in 1606, Catholic chap Guido Ffawkes, the only person ever to enter Parliament with honourable intent, was convicted of treason for his part in the ''Gunpowder Plot'' against an oppressive political class and the tyrant King James I, and executed, following months of torture He was a good guy. Pity he wasn't a Buddhist. He could come back and have another go. I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it. But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up. I am outnumbered. But... YOU don't just make a difference, you make THE difference.    | ||||
