2009 blogs
There has been a number of fine MRA blogs started during 2009 and I want to name two that I consider excellent.
You might have others you want to mention.
The first is the blog of our own Davyone. He has been a Mr Whirlwind this past year, appearing everywhere, commenting on the BBC, in the Sun, in practically every forum and every newspaper in every anglophile country, putting most of us in the shade when it comes to sheer intensity of effort.
But with all that he has made the time to create a first class blog at:
http://www.daveyonefamilylawman.blogspot.com/
Davy, Sir, I think you have one of the best blogs of the year.
The second I want to mention is that or Porky Domesticus, an Australian whose sty-manager reckons is a clean-living pig of epicurean taste, and that is shown in the most unusual and excellent presentation of his blog.
See it at:

These blogs need support. They need all of us to drop by from time to time and encourage with commentary. When in need of a drink to fill the soul

Re: 2009 blogs
Wow Thanks Percy that is the best Christmas present I could have hoped for and means so much more coming from you!
I have only been doing my Davy blog for 2 months ( it seems longer) I have done it all myself from scratch ( except the 2 embeded video's and the scales on the right of the heading) so for it to be recognised on my first outing is rewarding and I have tried to cram as much in as possible and with links under all the titles to each blog and pictures in side bar.
Techinally I should promote it and benefit from a modest advertising income so more hits would be valued as much as getting this urgent message across, I have often joked as you know that I am the Guido Fawkes of family Law but just 500,000 hits a week behind!!
Cheer Mate and lets make 2010 our year to succeed
Guys, you need to check out MY BLOG!!!

Re: 2009 blogs
Indeed, I have read the blog and am impressed. Previously, DO asked me about mirroring it here and I said at the time to give it more (time) so it could be judged on more than a handful of posts.
Davey, if you're still looking for it to be mirrored - say the word and we'll set it up for you.

Re: 2009 blogs
Sorry for not responding to this post earlier, but one of these blogs is new to me and I wanted to read over it before saying anything. Both look fantastic, and good on you Percy for highlighting this good work. Keep spreading the word guys. That said I must ask a question and I suppose this is as good a place as any to do so, but I've been thinking of starting a blog for some time. One thing is of concern to me however and that is whether or not it is possible to do so anonymously? Please don't see this as cowardice, or if you do at least see it as rational cowardice; yes I am afraid of my actual person becoming known as an MRA, but I have good reasons for this in that my livelihood is dependant upon the good opinion of women who make up the bulk of my customers.

Re: 2009 blogs
Dad, one of the blogs I read regularly is 'The Rights of Man', a UK blog. TROM is run by a great fellow who also remains anonymous. He just refers to himself as The Editor'.

Re: 2009 blogs
Daveyone has certainly been getting stuck in this last year and his message is a good one from what I have seen..
I have never been a big blog fan because of the amount of duplication and such over the blogs, and I cant see myself creating a blog because I seriously dont take myself that seriously!
But, I may take a step out of the forum scene (for obvious reasons!) and take an aloof position in the blogosphere chucking my irreverance round randomly..

Hahoo, we should make a blog together.

Re: 2009 blogs
Just an FYI, if it's any use - there are blogs here for all members.
They're not as accessible as the forum at this moment, but when I get around to upgrading the server - I'll be able to update the software - and that is when the blog will be equally accessible as the forum.
(i.e. new blogs don't show up in 'new posts' as that refers specifically to forum posts).

Re: 2009 blogs
Yes marx, I think I even started my own little blog on here sometime ago, but I was put off continuing it because I get banned from here so often there seems little point in creating something that I will lose access to!

Re: 2009 blogs
Understandable, but even google's blogger has rules to adhere to, too.

Re: 2009 blogs
I have a few ideas. We need to do some ground-work and so on, first. In regards to tech mischief I can probably handle some of that; I've done a little HTML in the past and I reckon I can work something up. We need to find a host - preferably a free one because I don't like the idea of using money online, besides if I do, I dunno how anonymous I can then remain. There's lots of places where you can make your own blog; one of those will work nicely, but we'll need to find one with a decent free-speech policy. Why not? I'll give it a go, two heads are better than one as they say!
As far as structure and subject is concerned, since we're both blogging, how will we do this? Perhaps we can do a sort of point-counter-point arrangement. Like, week one I pick a topic and write a post, then I send it to you and you add your commentary then we post it. Week two you pick a topic and write a post, send it to me and I'll add my commentary, etc.
Feel free to respond to this with a PM if you're serious.
Of course we'll need a 'core subject' and a title. Lots of stuff for us to consider. We'll be the odd-couple of blogging, it'll be great. We should get guest speakers too; not just MRA types, but people who aren’t associated with anything, just regular garden variety humans (I can supply these, I got allot of online buddies who don't know much about MRA stuff) all that. I'm going to start looking for hosts.Last edited by dad_savage; 4th-January-2010 at 05:07 AM.

Re: 2009 blogs
Do you mean help as in suggest a good place or help as in provide hosting? The first, I would love it if you have any suggestions, the second: that's generous of you, Marx, and I really do appreciate it but you already do so much and I don't want to stretch you further.I can help with hosting (seperate from AM).
You may also enjoy reading the following threads, why not give them a try?
