I doubt my individual vote swayed it that much, but it's currently at 57% yes / 43% no

I’ve watched this debate trying to keep an open mind, but the arguments against dads having equal time are simply ridiculous.
First, these statistics about domestic abuse are false and the man who initiated the study later admitted it. CDC studies that look at actual incidents and not just underreported Justice Dept stats found that women are equally responsible for partner abuse as men. Women are also more likely to abuse the children.

Second, someone says that breastfeeding is an issue. How long do mothers breastfeed? That’s not an issue past the first year. It’s also not an issue for working mothers who express the milk for their day care providers.

Then there was the children missing out on doing things with friends. Who’s more important—a parent or little Johnny across the street. The child has friends at dads, too and he misses doing things with them too. Children never get to do everything they want with their friends even when the parents are together.

Parents don’t always agree on everything even when they are together—not just on how to raise their children. It is those differences that help children to grow up into well-balanced adults. When moms try to dictate how dad raises his kids, they alienate the dad and destroy the child.

I don’t entirely blame the mothers because they’ve been brainwashed into thinking that their children need a support check more so that a dad. A 2006 Urban League report showed child support laws were a big reason for African American dads not being active.

Some mom’s don’t realize they’re running dad away. It’s funny though that once they child is older and they can’t control him anymore, then suddenly they blame dad for not being around.

The truth of the matter is that we assume judges know what they’re doing when they don’t. If you look at some of the legal rulings that have been made recently, you know they’re incompetent. All are lawyers; most are appointed by politicians. There are judges like Chesapeake Circuit Court’s Randall Smith who abandoned his own family and didn’t care enough about his own children to even want every other weekend. These people are the true criminals who need to be punished.

But if you still don’t think there is bias, why don’t the mothers agree to let dads have primary physical custody to avoid the problems of going back and forth.
