First day of trial for the Harriet Harman roof protesters
Hi all,
It has been the first day of the trial of Mark Harris & Jolly Stansby for the Harriet Harman roof protest.
It has been reported in the Daily Mail & The Telegraph
Mr Dromey said he could not condone the protesters' actions: "Nothing can ever justify invading someone's private home. Private homes and private lives are out of bounds.
"You should never, ever violate their personal privacy, their personal homes."
And all this from a member of a government that has systematically eroded the privacy of everyone in this country
They are back in court next Wednesday
Needless to say they will probably not get a fair trial

As I read your quote about invasion of privacy, I couldn't help but think; surely this logic applies to men who are exiled from their children's lives, does it not? Low 'n behold, you bring up that point.
And Menace - please, if you get an opportunity to speak with them, please convey our support for them from this site. If they need some attention, I can make a temporary frontpage post for them.

Must take issue with this. The Family Courts might be as corrupt as you can get, but to be fair, mayn many F4J protestors have received fair trials so far or at least the correct verdicts with most being foudn not guilty.
Obviously, now that someone such as Harriet Harman is involved I suppose it changes things quite substantially so I can certianly see where you're coming from, but I just wanted to highlight the fact that there are some excellent judges/juries out there too.

Honestly...having someone walk on your roof is not that bad compared to never seeing your children again.

Stan, I know for certain which I'd prefer - and as clue to the clueless (feminist lurkers), that means, I'd far prefer to have someone protesting on my property for a day or two than be exiled from my children's lives.

Re: First day of trial for the Harriet Harman roof protesters
Oh yes...I read about Harris. I hope that there is vigorous local support.
I mean here in the US the homosexuals are having rallies, talking about burning down churches and demonizing those with whom they disagree.
I hope that Harris and Stansby are getting articulate support and that they get their message out clearly and calmly.
Are there any further articles about this matter? Or youtubes?Ridgefield, Connecticut, USA, Earth, Milky Way, Universe, Creation

I hope the Mail and the Telegraph afford our two heroes the opportunity to make their arguments available to the public.
Mark and Jolly can both be relied upon to take every opportunity to explain their position to the Court and to those people who make it into the public gallery. With luck and a fair wind they may even get to cross examine that lying shit Harman. When in need of a drink to fill the soul

Was Harris the guy who:
Got arrested for waving to his daughter...who was going by his home in a school bus...as there is one main road in that area...and who had not seen his children in years...one day the older girl called and came over to live with him...and from his house she called a Judge who....in 15 minutes...gave custody to Dad...good thing as the local police were coming to collect him....this is from memory a year or two back.Ridgefield, Connecticut, USA, Earth, Milky Way, Universe, Creation

I was thinking the same thing, Marx. If hijacking someone's rooftop is such an invasion of privacy imagine what taking away a father's rights to his children is.As I read your quote about invasion of privacy, I couldn't help but think; surely this logic applies to men who are exiled from their children's lives, does it not? Low 'n behold, you bring up that point."Every noble impulse, every unselfish expression of love; every brave suffering for the right; every surrender of self to something higher than self; every loyalty to an ideal; every unselfish devotion to principle; every helpfulness to humanity; every act of self-control; every fine courage of the soul, undefeated by pretense or policy, but by being, doing, and living of good for the very good’s sake—that is spirituality." -David O. McKay
