Active groups in the UK, esp. Manchester
I would like a list of active men's rights and fathers' rights groups in the UK, particularly in Manchester. I am very serious about becoming active.
Recently, a men's society was supposed to have been established in the University of Manchester Student Union. I could not find it anywhere in the union's online register, however. I will email the officers for enquiries.
Anyone in the Greater Manchester area is welcome to email me.

Re: Active groups in the UK, esp. Manchester My Mate Toon up in the North East will be able to help with this as they did something in the early part of this year and seemed to have a big Manchester presence! Here is his latest to me this morning

Hi anvilsmith,
The Men's Society group at the University of Manchester has its own Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=...id=75303762887
I believe this chap is the founder: http://www.facebook.com/people/Ben-W...6125526?ref=mfSubscribe to my accounts on DocStoc, Scribd, Twitter and YouTube.

Re: Active groups in the UK, esp. Manchester
Thanks. I will definitely join the men's society. However, I am deeply concerned about their goals and ideology - their founder is obviously a feminist and their agenda includes such anti-scientific rubbish as the claim that society defines gender roles and that women are marginalized. It seems like a way of preaching mysandry to the young men themselves.
This will, hopefully, provide an opportunity for networking and establishing activist groups. But unless I find a pre-existent group that seriously intends to campaign for men's rights, I am seriously considering just starting my own group, spreading flyers around and seeing if anyone becomes interested, as well as paying for the design of antifeminist T-shirts.
For that matter, I will start a thread next week to compile a list of scientific references for backing up any claims I make in the flyers etc. I will also endeavour to bring up the topic of men's rights in regular conversation.
You may also enjoy reading the following threads, why not give them a try?
