Personal catch up

I am not one to post my personal emails but here is the exception.

I sent an email to John Dias - who has not been around these parts for a while - congratulating him on Misandry Review. I had nor realised that he was something to do with it until his name appeared in the email address.

Misandry review is the 'Rueters' of misandry that we all need. You can get a weekly round-up of articles that John assisduously gathers, sent to your email inbox ! Excellect stuff. I have been posting some here.

Anyway JD emailed back, thus, with even more astonishing news.:

Quote:
Hi, Chris! Glad to hear from you. Yeah, M.R. was one of my projects from (I think?) 2008. Nice little site, but I sometimes think it looks a little drab. If you ever come across some high quality, royalty-free (and also cost-free) concept art that goes with the theme of "it's a long, open road," send it my way. Also if you run across any outstanding writers (especially conceptual/philosophical writers, as opposed to political writers) send them my way also.

I've had my hand in a lot of things. That conference in L.A. that Glenn Sacks has been writing about, I made that happen. I was one of the main organizers.

Glenn and I actually hung out at the conference. I actually met Erin Pizzey, Richard Gelles, Daniel O'Leary, Richard Felson, and several other researchers while I was there.

I even met the operators of the Domestic Abuse Hotline for Men and Women, and offered to become one of their hotline volunteers. So I'm really, really ramping up my activism. A

lot of the brothers back at SYG and A.M. might have thought I completely checked out of the movement, but all I did was simply graduate from the forums. Marc Rudov did the same thing, blogging on MND before he moved on to bigger and better things in national broadcast cable and international radio and book publishing.

So say hi to everyone for me, and let them know that I hope they too graduate some day.

By the way, you and ChristianJ have done a little graduating yourselves, haven't you? Congratulations for raising your game too. Well, take care. Hope to hear from you again soon.

JD
What an Inspiration.

Do not be upset, Karl.

This forum - your creation - is an entry point for many a young and older person, men and women, who get a grounding in men's issues. It serves an honourable training and development purpose and reflects well upon you.

We all start off in a 'training establishment' and go on to be warriors. They cannot go on from nowhere. I have pointed out before that AM serves as a Tournament Ground for young Squires to Practice and Learn. John has 'graduated', as he puts it, having been a fine contributor, and continues on battlefields of his own finding.

He is a Knight.

Re: Personal catch up

I have always liked JD's take on the movement, he has definately got a lot of dedication but I am always wary of the directions taken by the mainstream MRM (the moderates)..

I never think of JD as a moderate, I hope they dont corrupt his libertarian views!

The forum-based movement is a different kettle of fish to the "real life" movement, this forum is exceptional in that it is open to the real-life input, but I am dissapointed with the attitude of many of the "big" movements in that they don't avail themselves of the opportunities to reach out to folk in the forums..

What we seem to have is folk in the forum-based movement trying to reach out to the big dicks, which is odd, because the impotence of those big dicks is legendary!

I agree with Percy on this. This forum serves a major purpose and allows all and sundry to get their thinking right (except the farm boys ofcourse, they will just wallow in their ignorance) and move onto bigger and better things.

Never downgrade or take for granted the good this site serves..

I would absolutely LOVE to meet the researchers he has met! What an outstanding opportunity! I'm glad he's out there making things happen!

I agree with the others...what an inspiration!

<sarcasm>

I don't know about everyone else but I for one am very happy that a rank structure has been established.

Those of us on forums like this one are in the lower ranks and those who have graduated the forums like this one are at the top of the chain of command.

Just think, if we all become like them, one day we will be at the top. For example, blaming men for the bad behavior of women as Marc Rudov does has always been a goal of mine.

Gee, here's a thought.
Support them financially, offer challenging and encouraging criticism of their work, open a dialog via. appropriate channels, subscribe to their work, volunteer your time, labor, and fortune, and before you know it, you're having lunch across the table in Harmony, Maine (USA), in the parking lot outside of the Meeting House in Bartlett NH, or at the cafeteria at McGill University. (unless of course you're denied entry into Canada due to behavior "deemed" felonious)

Perhaps, like "Marx", you might offer up a website- that makes a fine clearing house/message board for folks on well on their way- as springboard for big time celebrity. ;-)

Please remove the stick from your ass. It's really not very attractive.

Re: Personal catch up

John Dias has personally offered to PAY with his own cash for folk to attend the seminars etc that he goes to.

Not just folk he knows, but ANYONE who can read a forum like this were he has made his offers..

He is a man who walks the talk, which is more than can be said for many so called "activists"..
