It was 72 deg (f) here yesterday so we fired up the bar-b.

Shrimp and steak.


There are two ways to do the shrimp. Uncooked shrimp are the best as they cook with the veggies on the skewers. If you prefer not cooking your shrimp yourself ( I know some do ) then you need to cook the veggies first before skewering them and the shrimp and only put them on the grill long enough to sear them.

The sauce:

Garlic (chopped)
BBQ sauce. ( I use Sweet Baby Ray's)
Yellow mustard.

The veggies:

Green bell pepper
Red Onion

Thaw your shrimp and dump them in a big bowl of your sauce mixture. Let them sit in the refrigerator this way for an hour or two.

Chop your veggies into skewer size pieces.

I like things uniform so I skewer the shrimp and veggies in a pattern. Shrimp, onion, shrimp, pepper, etc...

These normally take 25-30 min on medium heat on your grill to cook. Check every so often for texture and give the skewers a flip.

Now, for the sauce you have left over from the shrimp marinade.

Dump it on your steaks. Maybe throw a bit of oregano on the meat first. Rub it in the best you can and let it sit for about 15 min.

I only did this for the first time last night with the shrimp sauce doubling as a liquid rub for my steak.
