Yep.

Note - a woman who identified as a feminist only weeks ago, now questions some of the motives in the feminist movement.

She has her very point proven by the post directly below hers by claiming she is weak-minded individual.

How nice!

The first woman shows that feminists can be shown the light. Even a small amount getting in through the armour plating can illuminate the hypocricies and change a mind.

The second wishes to remain blind and only seek out confirmation of her bias. She does this by denigrating the other for having an open mind, which shows her hypocricy.

Quite correct. It's astounding to see them pretending to be so 'forward thinking', yet resorting to school-yard antics.

And here's the response I gave, just above:

    Quote Quote from me
    Me!

    I used to be pro-feminist.

Then I actually read up on feminism instead of just hearing the 'sound bites'.

I came to realise how terribly sexist the movement is, and thus, had to stop claiming myself as 'pro-feminist' in favour of 'equalist' or 'anti-feminist'.

If feminism truly supported full equality, it would address inequalities that are detrimental to both sexes, not just women.

ETA: the answer directly below mine, and the next one directly below that are the kind of attitudes I'm talking about.

WG expresses that her attitude has changed because of what she has witnessed with her own eyes. She is then mocked and called a 'weak minded individual' for having changed her opinion, by a self-confessed feminist.

This IS feminism in the making, people!

Dare to question feminism? Then you have a weak mind!!!

    Insults, denigration, manipulation, etc.

And that's why I won't call myself a feminist anytime soon.
