How do I ad a sig to my profile to appear at the bottom of my posts?

You can edit the signature value from your membership profile page. However, this isn't an option for new members as a matter of site-wide policy. In order to garner privilege of using signatures a member has to pass from 'phase one membership' (where their posts are moderated) into the second phase. Once in phase two, they can use signature permissions.
