I'm not sure where exactly in England it is - but I do plan on going. It's been hijacked... erm, looked after now by the British Heritage Society, I believe... (translation: You now have to pay to get anywhere near it).

Its on Salisbury friggin' Plain. Half-way between Bristol and Southampton.

Actually, it is - women are exempt from being accused of unPC... unless they're anti-feminist, in which case..... well, ask Kim, she can tell ya what AF women get accused of by pro-F womyn.

I become convinced more and more with each passing day that you are NOT feminist. You may have some leanings in that direction, but I think you're too 'down to Earth' to be considered a 'real' feminist. You don't hate men for a start. You don't blame only men for a second. You're right, Marx. I'm not a feminist. I don't hate men. Before I came to this site I had no idea what feminism had done to men and to society. I heard you talking about these things on the Y/A Gender and Women's Studies forum (that I used to be a regular poster on)......and I was intrigued. Truth be told, I was skeptical at first...but I wanted to know more. That's why I came here. And I'm glad I did. I'd been a regular there for the last two years, and since joining your site a few months ago, I've quit posting on Y/A. I used to be #5 on the leader board...and I'm sure I've been knocked off the board by now. But it doesn't matter a bit. I'm not an easy person to win over...but the fact is, even though it's taken time for me to be certain, this is where I belong.

Ahhhh... youth... it is wasted on the young.

Yes.... well an established core curriculum of Western Civilization includes, of all things, Stonehenge, and it's where abouts.... ah.... but those curriculum are a thing of Christmas Past. Not your bad... just a reflection of where we are.

purple red orange and yellow leaves everywhere and a scent I can still remember

here in Australia the trees are a kind of olive all year round and smell of eucalyptus they never lose their leaves
