Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
(Admins’ I did not want to post this here, but for some reason couldn’t get a ‘create a new topic’ button in the priority news forum. Could you move it there please?)
This is an email summery of the debate concerning Tom Martins Legal claim that the London School of Economics promotes sexism (misandry) in its gender studies course, by an MRA I know who doesn’t post here:
Debate: Is feminism sexist? Held: Tues 28th February 2012
Tom Martin vs Estelle Hart
at UCL in London
Summary:
It was a lively debate from audience members. The MRAs had a good representation but were outnumbered by the pro-feminist students (female and mangina males). The event was filmed and was due to be continued in a nearby restaurant afterwards.
There was a sudden change of lecture theatre at the start due to numbers and I originally sat centrally in front of a row of feminist students. I moved because I found some of their talk irritating. Nevertheless I did pick up that they had classified the MRAs present as a bunch of middle aged men losers. The male students would not identify with such a group of losers and naturally sided with their female compatriots. Any young fem supporter that said anything in favour of feminism received enthusiastic applause. There was a clear division from the start.
The problem with debates is that as an audience member you only get one crack at a comment when what you need to do is engage in an exchange.
Tom Martin opened with an intense 10 minute citation of the case for why feminism was sexist. He had done a fair bit of preparation and presented a volume of statistics to support his case. Estelle Hart’s counter was basically to pour scorn on his facts, but also to plead that feminism was about reasonableness and fairness for men as well as women. The direction of the feminist attack was to try to show the MRAs as a tiny and unsupported fringe movement of middle aged men who had no case to answer and that life was all fair. However, they would not support such things as male officers in universities. They had not read, nor were interested in reading any MRA literature. They rejected or ignored any research presented by MRAs.
There was tendency to regard MRAs as non-mainstream and this influenced one or two who claimed to be neutral, but not well read.
I had warned Tom about the standard emotional feminist, who at some stage stands up to decry rape and sure enough on queue one delivered her statement with tears in her eyes. It was a bit like the stereotypical ‘pregnant woman’ you see in disaster movies.
I think it clearly shows how our young people have been contaminated by feminist dogma and see feminism as ‘cool’ and the norm. They have accepted it without questioning it. They see laws and the enactment of those laws as fair. MRAs are out-of-touch and griping about things that are not real to them. I couldn’t help but feel that some of the young men are some day going to get a rude awakening when they are accused of a sex crime or decide they would like children. The thing is though, I doubt whether any of them will marry anyway. Many will probably stay away from actually producing babies unless they are conned. All I can say is watch the video when it comes out.Last edited by Trauma Fried Brains; 29th-February-2012 at 09:33 PM.

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
Sad but hardly unexpected.. Pussy power peaks at the age of the female student, and from my own experience of most male students as a lad, they are largely slaves to this and the ones that are not would have little interest in wasting their time on such a debate and would rather play on their computer games or shag whores..
I started out an optimist, but nothing turned out right..
Then I became a pessimist, but thats a life of shite..

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
And this is a serious problem.
It is EXACTLY males of this age group that are at "greatest risk". How can we help them - or are they destine to make the same mistakes of other generations?
Worst still as they are under the 'pussy-no-tised' does this mean the battle falls to the older (and wiser) men, but this also opens up the spectre of a male internal civil war (young guns will be against the older ones), as they seek pussy and we advice them against the dangers.
On a more jovial note, I would love to see you and Percy on a talk show together (AVfM) - your constrasting styles would be great on the air (:
PS while remaining on topic - has the actual video been posted anywhere????Last edited by Richard; 3rd-March-2012 at 08:53 AM.

My company is very wary of female graduates, not least because of the questionable quality of the "no fail" education they receive.
You just can't be sure that they haven't been contaminated by feminist lies while studying at these lefty hotbeds of brainwashing, or that they will one day sue because of 'hurt feelings', or get pregnant as soon as they reach a position of responsibility.
Believe me, it is MUCH safer just to employ men.Feminism : The world's most effective contraceptive.

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
I have a female acquaintance who is an executive recruiter. She has been burned badly by a few placements into director and above roles with women who were hired, got pregnant within 6 months on the job and took off a year to care for their baby. One women even got knocked up 3 months after being hired into a SVP role, took off a year with full salary, came back and worked 8 months and got pregnant again and then of course took another year off with full salary.
The executive recruiter confided in me over a few drinks that she will no longer place women of child bearing age into Director and above positions. Discrimination? Yep, no doubt. The fact that this female executive recruiter got burned so many times justifies her decision. After all, her reputation for providing good hires was tarnished badly. So much for women looking out for women. Business is business.

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
A friend's wife worked in a physically demanding job and became pregnant. For her own safety and that of the unborn child she was dismissed. She sued her employers and of course won a huge payout. Some time after giving birth she returned to her old job, did some further training, paid for by her employer, and was promoted to middle management in demanding and hazardous work. She became pregnant again and it would have been even more dangerous for her to keep working. She left by 'mutual agreement' but not before pocketing another huge payout which was based on her newer higher salary ...... a salary she was earning ONLY because her employers had trained her!
Nice work if you can get it, which of course us blokes can't!Feminism : The world's most effective contraceptive.

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
The raw footage was filmed by MWM and another person I don’t know. What this other person dose with that footage and if or when he publishes it I don’t know either. As for MWM, he actually makes short documentaries which take time to produce and finally publishes them on his website and you tube channel.
He has indicated that he may use this footage within other documentaries and not necessary a documentary specifically about the debate.
You can see a discussion about him taking this footage, his plans, a description of the debate and other issues experienced on the day of the debate here: UCL Debate: Is Feminism Sexist and does the MRM even exist?

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
Disgusting behaviour by Tom.Yep, you heard that right and let me be clear: I was invited to the debate by Tom Martin; I took time out of a very busy day to attend an event that had little value to me as an MRA and almost zero value to my research; I filmed the event and the restaurant discussion at the request of Tom Martin to help him make a documentary. And the reaction from several of those individuals present was to threaten me with legal action should their precious mugs make it into the public domain.
Tom Martin frequently pops by here to appeal to others for funds, I hope he has the decency to explain his actions with regards the above.►My blog / Your Blog

Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Oh and there’s a picture there (MWM link in last post) of Tom Martin and Estelle Hart, doesn’t she look the part of a rad-fem?
I don't believe he was refering to Tom's behaviour.

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
This really is awful treatment by men calling themselves MRAs. For MWM, arguably one of the most articulate voices for men-ever- to be subjected to this kind of treatment is just a shame. I would like to have a word with these guys myself. I mean really, what MRA worth being called an MRA would refuse to be in one of MWM's vids. I just don't understand.
Do not ever suppose that a small group of people can never change the world. INDEED it is the only thing that ever has.

Re: Tom Martin’s (suing LSE for sexism) Debate.
Personally I think MWM over-reacted, but since it was an "over reaction to an over-reaction" it was understandable..
Folk in this cause are notoriuously unable to work together, paranoid as fuck in many cases..
Damaged men do not often give a good account of themselves..I started out an optimist, but nothing turned out right..
