Family Law is a reactionary farce; so said Sir Bob Geldof in 2004 and to date nothing has changed! In spite of the recent Norgrove review Family Justice and Child Welfare continues to be ignored as it is the cash cow for the legal professionals who claim to act ‘in the best interest of the children’ when in truth the only best interests they serve is their own bank accounts! Even your former colleague Ann Widdecombe denounced the author David Norgrove as a questionable parent if he was so quick to suggest father’s need not have regular contact with their children. It is a shame Norgrove did not undertake as a robust review as Leverson is currently on aspects of life that do not have such an impact.

Norgrove also failed to see the importance of Grandparents which is strange as we now lean that Prime Minister David Cameron is seeking to penalise councils who do not find homes for foster children when in fact too many children are forced into care when there is not always the need, and surely the role of Grandparents or other extended family could come to the fore when a family is in crisis and Mum and Dad have issues to sort out!

Last summer we had riots in London and other parts of the UK. I could be argued that the announcement a few weeks before by the Home Secretary Theresa May; that she was about to cut back the number of front line police officers to the Met had a bearing, but more likely it is the lack of moral guidance by an appropriate adult namely a father in the lives of many of our young. Dads are regularly criticised for being feckless or runaway but what option is left with a law that renders them little more then sperm donors and walking ATM machines?

Family Court Judges rely too heavily on spurious reports from the failing CAFCASS or Social Services who then does little more then rubber stamp this though into an unenforceable court order. The judge can then blame his scapegoats for any failure in this system and regularly will! The system as it exists today serves so called feckless fathers and money grabbing self-serving mothers whilst good parents both mothers and fathers are regularly being penalised and have to struggle to pick up the pieces after the fact!

I would rather see Family Court cases dealt with by ACAS then in secret courts, Jack Straw attempted to open these courts in 2008 but the judges said NO! What have they to hide when sensitive cases could be protect by using code such as Baby P, Child A or Family XYZ? Ken Clarke and Lord (Charlie) Falconer have done nothing to enhance or reform Family laws and other law makers such as Lord Justice Ward claim they are unable to act, so this is why I will be supporting the following March on 16th June 2012;

America call James...!

.....and Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Greece UK and Singapore for that matter...!!

Legendary broadcaster James Whale invited callers from the US to discuss the Christopher Tappin and how the process of plee bargaining works ( In the UK we only get this choice at the police station and end up with an often unwarrented caution!) It has occurred to me that if James wants to talk to those of you in the US, or anywhere else for that matter, a better subject would be Family Justice and Child Welfare reform as James himself has lived the indignity we are all aware of when his own son was dragged into family court. As a result he endured the heartache of the process his son went under as well as being alienated from his grand child. All this is recounted in a chapter in his book which also reveals how he fought off liver cancer and thankfully is in remission today!
It should also be noted that the LBC studio's where James works is less then a mile from Parliament and so he will often call MP's to account and is no friend to injustice and hates the CSA with a vengeance!
Therefore in our lead up to the father's Day protest on June 16th may I suggest we all send James a message relating to the worldwide injustice that is Family Law and the fact that Social Services , CPS CAS, and CYFS fail to do what it says on the label and above all are letting our kids down on a daily basis!

Will be a nice way of showing how little on the street support there now is for the connors failed campaign.. shame really but the general public are not as ignorant as they were 10 years ago and the smart folks dont want the state to issue them with a child-minding deal for their own kids that they have to triple subsidise..

I'm pleased to see you are still in the campaign d1 but it must be terribly frustrating for you..

Those of us who in the past have done all these things and seen what comes of it (fuck all)..

Probably won't be keen to keep repeating it in the hope of different results..

It will be interesting to see how many attend this march, what the media reaction will be etc..

You know, that if everyone did write to the media, and to the MP's, they might just do something about it..

But that would be what THEY want to do about it..

And they would probably convince the folks that its all in "the childs best interests"..

But that is largely academic speculation, because hardly any of the millions of men and fathers and kids and families affected by the issues will either turn up for the march, or write to anyone..

And THAT will be what is proved by what I predict will be a "show of weakness".. Though I guess Matt and co could make it look like a show of idiocy if they want to walk around with their kex round their ankles and blame mumsnet or some shop for the state of fatherless britain..

Don't worry about pleasing me D1..

Impress the general Pubelic with something they feel worthy of their attention and efforts, thats what needs to be done..

There is much truth in that, but the real truth in many cases is actually crucially very much worse than that..

Men get eliminated from their natural family, and go and shack up with a woman who has turfed out a similar man, and he becomes a problem to the real father and usually is blind to how he and other men like him are used and brain raped to serve evil lying mothers..

The system should be fair?

haha! It never can be..

It should be rendered obsolete and ignored.. Fathers should not feed it, or the state that supports it..

I will be attending the march tomorrow & hope i can meet some good guys that feel the same about their children as i do.. Let us all support our children & show them how truly committed we are to them as they do need us in their lives & are also in pain from our absence!

It's so crappy how Mother's Day is so overly glamorized and every selfish feminist woman who's had a child want to be treated like it's their birthday yet when Father's Day comes around it barely gets any attention.

Hope its a good day for all who attend it.

Awesome. I look forward to seeing the march reported on national TV, complete with interviews of supporters and close-ups of the wording on the banners. Should come somewhere between the pix of pigs flying overhead and the freezing over of Hell.

I will be surprised if this event is as "effective" as the rather excellent demo done by matts f4j in 2008 in bristol when they cleared a court out, but sadly matt decided to quit again a few days later..

I doubt todays event will fetch more than a few lines in any national rag, unless they do something meaty, which is hardly on the cards on a saturday dinner time..
