I've thought of an ambitious idea which could generate an enormous amount of publicity for the men's movement. As most of you will know, since January 2007, I have been running the men's movement profile of myspace.com. The reason why I set up the profile, was because I recognised how effective myspace.com is for networking and reaching big audiences. Now in mid 2008, there is an established men's rights/father's rights community on myspace.com, including 100+ MRA/FRA blogs hosted on the site. MySpace has page on its site entitled Most Popular Blog Posts. My idea is that, if we can ensure that blog posts from the MySpace MRA/FRA blogging community regularly get listed in the top 10 Most Popular Blog Posts, then men's rights issues could potentially recieve huge publicity as a result. But how can we do it? It's really quite simple. For a blog entry to get listed in the Most Popular Blog Posts list, it needs to receive a lot of comments. This is easier than it sounds. All we need is 20/30 MRAs to create basic MySpace profiles (which don't necessarily need to contain any personal information), subscribe to a handful of MRA/FRA blogs (I can provide a thorough list), then start commenting. The trick is to treat each comment thread as if it were a message board thread. Don't make just one comment per blog entry, make multiple comments per blog entry. Debate with other commenters, etc. As I'm writing this post, there is currently a blog entry at 4th place in the Most Popular Blog Posts list, which has only received 166 comments. If we can put together a team of commenters who each post about half a dozen comments per blog entry, then we could easily start getting MRA/FRA blogs in the top 10. Anyone willing to get involved?

Interesting idea, but people aren't comment machines. I mean they have to be enthusiastic and the blog post should be intriguing enough. Maybe you can start a profile on www.facebook.com too. ~ A man needs a woman like a lion needs a stove. ~ ~ Women deserve only equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. ~ ~ Men are not collectively "guilty" of anything. ~ ~ Never needing to be pregnant is a blessing. ~ ~ Feminist ideology “men have to respect women, but women have no reason to respect men” ~ ~ Everybody makes choices, and nobody should be entitled to special treatment because of those choices. Equal results based on unequal treatment amounts to no kind of equality at all. ~

I see. The fact is that MySpace is the ghetto of the internet. No disrespect to any who operate there. Tyrael is correct. In that working Facebook cuts more into the root of the issues, rather than at the branches.
