"Podiocast" is not a typo, rather it is an innovative (but slightly flawed) technology from Odiogo that could prove very useful to MRAs.

Here's an example of the technology in action:

You'll notice that the MP3 file consists of the contents of the post being read by a computer-generated voice.

Odiogo takes an existing textual RSS feed and creates a new one, identical to the original one, enriched with an audio file for each piece of content. RSS feeds can be viewed and listened to with RSS readers such as FeedDemon, or FeedReader or through personalized Homepage/RSS reader services such as My Yahoo!, Netvibes or Pageflakes. With an MP3 player or an iPod one would use podcast management tools such as Apple's iTunes or iPodder

So, for example; let's imagine that Duncan Idaho wanted his Eternal Bachelor blog posts converted in to audio files, all he would need to do is obtain his blog's RSS feed, copy and paste it in to the form present at the top of most pages on the Odiogo website, type in his e-mail address, and press "Go". A few minutes later, he would receive an e-mail containing his "Odiogo audio-enriched RSS feed".

Unfortunately, MySpace RSS feeds are crappy, and contain only a small portion of each blog entry - hence the computer-generated voice doesn't read the entire blog post. However this is not the case with Blogger RSS feeds, etc.

Podiocasts allow MRAs the opportunity to easily generate a lot of content to upload to websites where people can stream/download audio.
