In between buffing the tusk, plonking round forums, dating sites and other web based activities I think of ways that our message can reach an audience a bit wider than the one that makes the effort to find us..

I believe one of the most effective "MRA's" is Melanie Phillips, she writes regularly in the media, newspapers.

Rather than scouring the web to find articles posted on newspaper websites that relate in some way to "the cause", why not some of our better writers create their own "custom made" articles for the express purpose of getting them published in the papers?

Its not that hard, you can even get paid and make a living at it!!

Newspapers are always on the lookout for writers and stories, anything that will provoke a public response and interest sells and is in demand!!

Why confine your best works to some self-indulgent blog hidden in a dusty corner of the web only to be read by "the converted"? Or have your efforts fade into the archives of forums such as this?

Get it out there into the mainstream media!!

Good point there, FFFF. I recently (few weeks back now) wrote in to my local rag about an article they'd printed and quoted Glenn Sacks' comments on a similar article based on the same 'study'. My letter was printed and having scoured the letters page since, it seems no one has argued my point. Since then I've had a few family members and friends mention they have read my letter (all with a smile, not distaste).
