The Men's Coalition

http://www.themenscoalition.org.uk/

Quote:
The Men’s Coalition is a new organisation that aims to put issues of concern to men and boys firmly on the public policy agenda.

These issues include health, parenting and caring, relationships, education, employment crime and violence. Identifying and addressing the inter-relationships between these issues is also of critical importance.

Many men experience poor mental, emotional and physical health as well as discrimination and disadvantage in a number of areas, including school education, parenting and some aspects of employment. We believe that the adoption of specific roles by men and women on the basis of their gender is also seriously limiting for both individuals and society.

However, it is understood and accepted that men are institutionally advantaged in terms of economic power and privilege compared to the position of women. The Coalition is therefore fully committed to gender equality and to working in partnership with women's organisations.

The Coalition is currently in the early stages of its development. Its initial members include the Men’s Health Forum, Respect, Fatherhood Institute, Men’s Advice Line, Relate, the Research Unit on Men and Masculinities at Bradford University, NCH and the White Ribbon Campaign.

It is also supported by the Home Office and the Government Equalities Office.

The Coalition was formally launched on 26 November 2007. Its first task is to establish itself as a viable organisation, to secure resources and to develop a work programme. An interim Steering Group has already been established and has agreed that an early task is to determine the key cross-cutting issues for men and boys. The Coalition will set out its work programme and priorities by June 2008

Re: The Men's Coalition

Very good work Frosty Boy! With their white ribbons, responsible men's rights organizations etc. one can see their fox and weasel slip under the pretty dress up!

This is what the establishment has been after for a long time (and with some effect), and why I went ballistic on poor Percy for unintentionally being one of their useful idiots on this issue. That being to split the moderates & constructive radicals in the movement. We have enough issues that split us, and we shouldn't let us be split more by those in power.

This kind of organization (Men's Coalition) is very very important to watch for they show the weasel hand of those that oppose MRAs, and how they truly operate. If I could get all MRAs on mass to go after just one group, and any versions that come up to mimic its weasel message, it would be this kind of one.

We are often dealing with shadows and conspiracies that say, "The less evidence the more powerful and true the conspiracies." This is illogical and time wasting and tail chasing.

We don't need to be apathetic and point to unprovable conspiracies from all over the place, we have both the proof and enemy before us in anyone associated with the leadership of this organization Men's Coalition, and anyone who is in its rank & file needs to be placed in the Useless Idiots catagory forever, or such time as to help to bring it down for using their mangina feelings so for the political gain of feminism!

I am optimistic about the men's coalition.

If they are wise, they will study in detail the goals, the agenda, of Fathers for Justice, but will not imitate F4j's tactics.

I'd prefer they don't imitate the feminist tactics of sending bomb & death threats to those who oppose them. Given the option between feminists & F4J, I think most sane people would prefer they took the less agressive tactic to heart.

I agree. Bomb threats and death threats are worse than scaling buildings and harassing people on their private property.....however, didn't F4J also disband at one point because of some of its members were involved in a kidnapping plot?

See how mud sticks and even people - like yourself, Tera - repeat calumnies and accusations as though they were real.

There was NO kidnap plot.

It was 'claimed' by an un-named 'secret service' person (Hah!) that they 'overheard' a chap in a pub !; a chap they 'suspected' of being in F4J ! They 'claimed there was a 'plot' to kidnap Tony Blah's son. Fucking stupid.

I suppose on that basis, I could be accused of plotting to disembowel hundreds of judges and lawyers with my friggin' sword.

(That is true )

Thanks for clearing that up, Percy. That this was a bar room chat and not a real plot is something that I never saw in any of the news articles on the subject.

Exactly right Percy, another move by the establishment to undermine the effort of MRAs, and keep it unorganized as much as possible. By scaring the moderates away (as they know many moderates are easily scared away) they keep fanning the movement to be filled with more unconstructive radicals. Don't let them scare your loyality, and demand real proof of any MRA guilt. This is also why Dr. Phil went with that Men> Women loudmouth shoonok so as to say anyone who questions feminism is like this cave man.

Re: The Men's Coalition

I understand that what was overheard was a chap, who had had his son taken off somewhere by his ex with the family Court's connivance, saying, "I wonder how Tony Blair would feel if someone kidnapped his son?".

This cry of pain was taken as a threat. !

Turned into a 'plot'.

Bastards.

Where's my sword.

Re: The Men's Coalition

kidnapp plot, more like kidnapp joke, says alot where they have to pretty much invent rubbish like this, but this is an old strategy of control, its not difficult when so few of our society appear to show any form of independent thought.

I would like to know if this got a mention in Cherries blairs book. As an example of media control by Tony Blair he managed to get a complete gagging order on the blairs daughters attempted suicide, some years ago.

As a seperated father I feel for any parent which would have to experience one of their childrens attempt of suicide. Though as a seperated father I have to jump through higher and higher hoops, even to get a simple school report. My parenting skill are constantly under the microscope but not the likes of Cherrie Blair.
