Jeremy Kyle. Do you know of him?

He has been on NZ day time TV for months now.

He brings on the bitchiest women we have ever met. They won't allow the fathers to see their children and he has heaps of guys on his show that ask for DNA tests that prove they are not the fathers.

He is certainly waking up NZ women to what is going on out there.

So much so that women are now looking at feminism.

OMG, I must go to work right now but the biggest and nastiest woman is on TV right now on his show. He is showing feminism up in all it's hateful glory.

I have only seen the Jeremy Kyle prog once on UK TV, about 3 months back, and that was enough for me.

The show featured a case of a young couple where the woman had had a baby that she claimed was fathered by the man, but he claimed it was fathered by another guy whom the woman had been seeing behind his back. He refused to acknowledge the child as his own, and did nothing to "support" (= the modern buzz word for paying lots of money to the mother of) the child. The woman adamantly denied that she had had an affair with the other guy. The man had taken a paternity test, and the results were to be revealed on the show.

Thus far, I assume this was standard Kyle-show fodder.

Before the results were announced (I emphasise: BEFORE), Kyle absolutely tore into the young man. He accused him of being selfish, lazy, uncaring, only concerned with his own pleasure etc etc. He berated him for refusing to "support" the mother and child. He yelled at him, accused him of being a rat and a monster, and whipped up the audience (predominantly female, I wonder why) into something I can only describe as sheer hatred against this guy. The young woman joined in the frenzy, with considerable gusto. It was as severe a verbal attack as anything I have witnessed for many a long year (but I am prepared to concede that's because I don't watch this kind of show. It might be the kind of misandric shit that goes on all the time on daytime TV, for all I know).

When the young man managed to squeeze a word in his defence between the torrent of abuse raining in on him, to say that he did not see why he should be obliged to pay money for a child he did not believe was his own, Kyle's fury went into overdrive. It was a wonder that he managed get any words out of the purple mask of incandescent hatred that used to be his face, but he managed to do so, to the extent of howling that the guy should have continued to support the mother and child anyway, until he had proof positive that he was not the father. It was truly vicious stuff.

Mercifully, that was the point at which the ads break arrived.

After the break, everyone seemed to have calmed down, and then came the paternity test results. The young man was pronounced NOT to be the father of the child.

Oh my word, what a transformation. The young woman promptly switched into poor ickle victimised female mode, predictably bursting into tears and curling up, sobbing, on the sofa, her face buried in her hands. The trick worked perfectly on Kyle. He too switched from livid castrate-the-male-bastard mode to ah-poor-dear-let-me-hold-your-little-suffering-female-hand mode. His voice dropped to a quiet, cajoling whisper, as he sat next to her, positively gushing sympathy and compassion over her. The audience of course also took their cue from Kyle, and there was hushed silence throughout the studio, punctuated by a few simpering noises. One or two women shook their heads silently, but that was the extent of any sign of disapproval of her behaviour. The cheating, lying, abusive little fraudster had wrapped Kyle round her little finger; and like the blustering, bullying booby he was, Kyle had fallen for it hook, line and sinker. What a bastard, and what a complete farce.

The worst of it was that Kyle made no attempt to apologise to the young man whom he had been savagely abusing on national TV just a few minutes earlier, even though he had been completely exonerated. He was simply ignored, presumably being unworthy of any sympathy, apology, or even a second's consideration. Presumably on account of being the wrong sex. All the attention focused on the liar, and how she could be "helped" to "cope" with the burden that a cruel world had dumped on her.

That was the point at which I switched off in disgust, vowing never to watch anything featuring Jeremy Kyle again, and telling myself that if I met the scumbag in the street, I would spit in his eye. That cheap slut of a woman's too, and indeed most of the audience's.

And in case you think I switched off too soon, I watched long enough to satisfy myself that there would be no change to the above scenario. Kyle was happily moving on to his next example, with another hapless couple being shunted onto his sofa ready for the next bout of god-knows-what.

Now what were you saying about his show?

I look to the day when a man villified and demeaned in such a manner on TV, smashes the host hard in the face.

I am speechless Paul. I don't know what to do here. I could never call you a liar.

But this is not what we are seeing.

The woman I was talking about the other day had disowned her 2 eldest sons for calling her a liar. Then she was confronted by the youngest who said, "Mum, what they are saying is true". She disowned him too. She was way out there.

I must have seen about 20 shows where he has told women off for the way they treat the fathers. He is very adamant that fathers are important in the CHILD'S life.

He offers solutions sometimes and the women say, "No, I won't have it". Then he rips into them saying things like, "Is this all about money. What if he puts money into a savings account for the child".

There are only 2 conclusions I can come up with.

1. We are years behind you and he has been forced to change.
2. Our media is picking what we should see and are supporting men at the moment.

I've seen a few of these when I've been at friends and such. And most of the one's I saw, he was actually supportive of the father and getting on the woman's case. I can remember nearly shitting myself with excitement that JK wasn't pandering to the women , giving his show a unique angle.

His switching and changing and favouring for effect is Unprincilpled.
