I have given deep thought about the MRM platform. Men's goals. And the answer is simple. It is not for me to do. It is for men to do. Or for men to discover themselves. It need not be a discussion where egos or different opinions become opposites. We are too far down the track for that now. The work is already being done. The political movement is what is needed to go. A big scale movement that includes all the smaller movements. The Human Rights commission works on what groups are DOING. Not what needs to be done. They are only a recommendation. But they are a hierarchy voice that does carry power not so much at a political level but at a funding level and are an easy excuse for corporations to donate to causes. One area that the HRC has excluded is the work being done regarding men working with young children. It goes against feminists ideology. But it does not at all go against men's and fathers ideology. Nor the ideology of parents, grandparents and ordinary good people. Little factors like these are important for men to discuss. IMO. .................... These are already what you do . Please add to them. 1. There needs to be a big move in educating society about MISANDRY. That is going to look great on a documented platform. Groups will be scratching their heads on this one as well as the media. But the reality is it exists and boy, oh, boy, that is disgusting. Above disgusting; inhumane. 2. The needs to be a big move in educating how important fathers are to children. FC needs this in particular. This should also be in all education around parenting. 3. Recognition of violence towards men by men. Action to protect men must also exist. And awareness programs in schools, in advertising, movies and more. No more should men be afraid as a human being. 4. Recognition of violence towards men by women. DV is real for men regardless whether it affects women and by how much. That is unbelievable that society ignores a problem so important because it can find another worse through biased statistics. 5. Prisons need to be safe for men. Men don't go there to be tortured or raped. This is the 21st century and prisoners of war have better conditions than men. 6. Equal sentencing of genders in law. Men are not brick walls. They are human beings. 7. Masculinity stays No more trying to make men into women. No more Ritalin when boys need to run around. No more trying to get men to sit and pee. No more..... Allow men to be men in every possible way that is positive. 8. Equal funding for men's needs at all political levels. Includes boys and male youth. No more women only funding. Men deserve just as much. they never had all these wonderful buildings and services before women's rights came along. They deserve the same rights. 9. We must have male role models. Men as teachers. Men as fathers and nurturers. 10. Stop the false rape complaints. Can you add .......... please do!

All worthy goals, Jools, and in the main, underway. I would take issue/expand/rectify one duo at Goals 3 and 4. The percentage of violent men and men being violent toward other men is low. Probably around 10%. It is growing in young men but 'men's society' has always confronted this and dealt with it. It is growing because masculine society has been all but eradicated. The percentage of women being violent toward men however is around 95%. Women seem to think they have a licence to hunt and harm men at will. They do it almost unconsciously. Where conscious they excuse themselves and blame the men. I would be firmly behind a push for a Ladies, Take a Day Off. National Stop Hitting Men DAY. (And while you are resting, stop all the friggin' mindless criticism, the emotional battering, the demeaning and the friggin' blaming all the friggin' time) For Fuck's Sake Give It a Rest I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it. But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up. I am outnumbered. But... YOU don't just make a difference, you make THE difference. ![]()

How did I get 95%? Sure, I haven't met every man in the world but of those that I have known there is not one who hasn't been slapped in the face by a woman at some time. Women are taught clearly by example that slapping a man in the face is OK. There are some men who haven't been slapped yet, I'm pretty sure, but there are only two kinds of men. Those that have been slapped in the face and those that are going to be.

I would like to add: More approval of, and funding for pro-male research or research that could possibly harm the feminist agenda. Disapproval and silencing of valid research is unethical. Furthermore: A higher availability of "Men's Studies" programs. Although I believe this may have been addressed already.

Here's some.
As I've mentioned before, since the internet is the common ground we all share, we should use it to its fullest to unite and gather everyone into one place. Sure, sites like antimisandry.com or the Glenn Sacks blog might be helpful, but the sheer numbers from the unification would be a greater cause to the movement itself. Sort of like a "myspace" for men's right activist to be able to work together.
The other great help to our movement would be more women who'd like to make a difference like Kelly, and using the idea that they'll reach the extreme kinds of women men can't, no matter how much logic you throw at them.
By international teams, I mean like "Group America", "Group Europe", "Group Australia", or even "Group India". It'd be organized so that men from each region can setup protest, speeches, lecture groups, and more. This way we can expand not just from the internet, but to more peoples' homes by organizing the spreading of our issues. I might be able to think of another idea or so, but that's what comes off the top of my head. From my experience, the only things that really makes a difference have some form of unity, discipline, and similar beliefs. It can enhance our strength quite a bit, while overall making our voice louder so it may be heard.

Every few months, there will be a thread just like this one, where some thoughtful person will spit out a list of men's movement wants, goals, and objectives. A lot of hoopla and debate will ensue, followed by anticipation, then disinterest, and then finally the subject will change. Here's a goal for you: DO SOMETHING. Along with this written professionally, I am sending out the Gay's platform. I want all the groups to know that the gays want the age of sexually consent to be taken away as well. Sometimes you can put something out there and people will mock it and say, "That's not what I wanted", and then you can say back, "Well, it was up on a site. Sorry if you didn't get the chance to respond but it had to be done at some stage." And besides, you can always have a second and third. Every other group including Humanism has had at least 3. The MRM is way behind but they will get there. Do you think any other group has done one? I was wondering about World's Fathers Union as they were looking for professionals from Universities some time back, maybe even last year. But I did not get to pass anyone on. The people who are involved in that scene are already working on stuff in NZ.
