The horrifying story of a young woman, 24-year-old Tiffany Hall, who was considered "lifelong friends" with 23-year-old Jimella Tunstall but who turned on her dear 7-month pregnant friend, hitting her in the head and cutting the unborn child out of her womb back in 2006, was finally sentenced.

Hall received life in prison without parole after pleading guilty to the murder of Tunstall, her unborn child and the drowning death of Tunstall's three other children.

At Hall's mother's home on September 15th of 2006, Tiffany Hall struck her friend in the head with a table leg, rendering her unconscious, and then cut Tunstall's unborn 7-month fetus from her womb, allegedly with a pair of scissors. Tunstall bled to death and Hall dumped her body in an empty overgrown lot.

Hall then contacted police and told them that she had been sexually assaulted, was pregnant and had given birth to a stillborn as a result of the assault. When police arrived, she handed over the dead fetus and refused medical examination.

Just a few days later, Hall went to the father of Tunstall's dead child and other children, two of which were his and one which he raised as his own. Hall, as a friend of Tunstall, told the father that Tunstall had wanted her to pick up the kids. That was the last time he saw his other children alive.

Hall took them back to where she killed their mother and drowned them in the same bathtub. She then took their dead bodies to her home and stuffed the 1 and 2-year-old into her washing machine and the body of the 7-year-old into her dryer.

On September 21st, at the funeral of the fetus, Hall confessed to her boyfriend who came home from the military for the funeral for what he believed to be his child, to killing a pregnant woman and taking the unborn child, setting off a police search.

Hall had reportedly been pregnant and suffered a miscarriage just prior to her murdering her friend, her unborn child and the three young children that Hall herself would babysit.

Hall stuck a plea deal to avoid the death penalty, admitting guilt on four charges of murder and one charge of intentional homicide of an unborn child. Her attorney did say that she had "unresolved mental health issues" and had tested at an IQ in the mid 70s, although she was deemed mentally competent to stand trial.

There has been no report of exactly why Hall murdered her friend her friend's children.

That is just horrendous, pure and simple. It's always the same crap, she suffered from mental health issues, which I'm sure could be the case, but the "mental health" excuse seems to rear it's head quite often when women are on trial.
I don't know how it works in America, but it seems really odd to me that she's able to plea her way out of a death sentence, which I doubt she'll avoid once the queen bee gets her hands on her.
I feel really sorry for the guy who's left with no children because of this sicko, but of course, all the attention and sympathy will go to her.

The article says that the death penalty was taken off the table when family of the victims stated that they just wanted the case to end.

So true 6ame. Regardless the defense the death penaty should apply here. Why even should mental health issues excuse anyone from proper punishment?

The plea to five charges—four counts of murder and one of intentional homicide of the unborn child—allowed Tiffany Hall, 26, to avoid the death penalty.

St. Clair County State's Atty. Robert Haida said defense attorneys approached prosecutors about a month ago to discuss a plea. The death penalty was taken off the table after the victims' relatives said they wanted the case to end.

Hall, dressed in a yellow prison jumpsuit with her hair looped in a small bun on top of her head, showed no emotion in court. She answered Judge Milton Wharton's questions in a quiet voice but declined to give any statement."

Looks like the defense attorneys wore down the victims' family further, probably told them that the case would drag on and on if they didn't agree to a plea. Sad, really, because if ever a person deserved the death penalty this is definitely the case. This woman (Hall) never showed any remorse at all for her dispicable actions.

I'm sure opponents of the death penalty will consider this a victory.

At least they didn't decide to put the woman into a mental institution for her "mental problems" (where she probably would have the possibility of release one day.) And I hope to God that "no chance of parole" really means no chance of parole.
