A Frederick woman is facing assault and reckless endangerment charges in a stabbing that wounded her husband.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office says it happened early Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn on Holiday Drive. Authorities say 54-year-old Brenda Smith stabbed her 55-year-old husband in the chest during an argument. Deputies recovered a knife and the man was flown to Washington County Hospital. His name has not been released.

Smith has been released on bail.
