Mother hangs herself after killing her two children

A mother hanged herself in her suburban home after killing her two small children.

The bodies of the woman and her boys were discovered by her husband when he came home from work.

The house, in a quiet close in Werrington, Peterborough, was cordoned off today as forensic officers examined the scene.

The man, named locally as Richard Talby, is believed to have found the bodies of his wife and children at about 5pm last night.

Sources named the woman as Susan Talby and the boys as four-year-old Joseph and threeyearold Paul.

An elderly neighbour who did not want to be named, said: "It's so sad, it's really awful...You don't expect this around here. It's such a lovely close."

The woman and the two children have not yet formally been identified and post mortems were taking place today.

Mr Talby, a salesman, was described as "distraught" and was being cared for by relatives today.

Suprisingly, this story wasn't featured in last nights local paper(I'm a Peterborough resident). However I did read about a feminist event taking place today in celebration of international women's week.

Inevitably, this women will be portrayed as a hero and victim if her death is confirmed as a suicide.

Frostyboy, might I suggest you write in to some of the newspapers that have declined to write abuot this event, while highlighting IWD (yawn) and ask them directly why they have swept it under the carpet - while promoting female supremacy (IWD)... Might spark a reaction
