Mom Sentenced to 20 Years for Keeping Son in Cage

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A mother was sentenced to 20 years in prison Thursday for keeping her 17-year-old adopted son caged in her home.

Brenda Sullivan pleaded guilty in January to three counts of aggravated child abuse. Prosecutors agreed to drop lesser child neglect charges.

The teen weighed 49 pounds when child welfare workers found him in 2005 in what appeared to be a cage. Sullivan told a judge at the time that Ohio authorities told her to keep the boy, who had severe medical and emotional problems, in a crib.

"There's only one conclusion when you look at the medical evidence in this case, and that is that she literally starved him," prosecutor Julie Schlax said.

Two other children, 13-year-old twins the Sullivans adopted as infants, both testified they were kept in similar cages.

Sullivan's husband was also arrested, but died in January 2007 while awaiting trial.

Sullivan's lawyer, Charles Fletcher, said he didn't think prison was the right option because she does not pose a threat to society. He said they would appeal the sentence.

Only a real nutter would adopt two more children to cage like the first one. She she really needed was cats and not children.

Obviously CPS kept sending her children to abuse. She was probably paid by taxpayers and CPS lesbitches made a profit from every child she caged but did not feed. The CPS lesbitches are the other half of the criminal conspiracy and they ought to be hung.

If he hadn't died, he probably would have gotten 40 years due to his gender.

"Died in jail" is the blue gun thug euphemism for "killed by pigs." He got the death sentence without recourse to a jury trial.

But...but...but...men are the child abusers!

I don't know if you recall the case of the animal rights activists who dug up a woman's body from her grave as a protest against what her family worked as, it was here in Britain about 2 years ago. Anyway, it was 3 guys and 1 woman that done it, they all committed the crime, they were all found guilty on the same charges, yet the guys all got 12 years each, and she got 4 years, FOR TAKING PART IN THE EXACT SAME CRIME.

Not only is this a clear injustice, but when you consider that a man's prison must be tougher to go to than a women's prison, it just makes it all the more insulting.

So if you're ever thinking of committing a crime, get a sex change first, it'll save you a lot of years in prison.

Overall about 24 of every 25 men in prison in the US are in prison fore the "crime" of being born men. Females who do exactly the same acts are NOT in prisons. The whole Injustice System is very badly misandrist from the blue gun thug doing the arrest to the parole boards not letting prisoners out.

The part that irritated me the most was at the bottom where the lawyer says she shouldn't go to prison because she isn't a threat to society.

Yet how many fathers have you ever heard put in prison for a drive by non payment of support or an armed failure to pay support.

Last time I checked non payment put men in prison and none were a threat to society.

The horror.....the state let this woman adopt without (obviously) taking the time to find out if she were a fit parent to begin with? This makes me sick.

And the bitch should be locked up in a cage herself...for life, for what she did to those children. Twenty years isn't long enough.

But 6ame, don't you understand men are 3 times stronger than women, which means that each male grave digger probably did 3 times more digging individually than the woman did. So, it's only "logical" that the men should get prison sentences that are 3 times longer than woman, isn't it? NUTS!!
